It has a great stamp for journaling, one to make tags and lots of reminders and notations.  I had to put on my creative challenge hat for this one! I decided to use our Elemental Paper Pack (X7141B)  for this set.   The design of the paper and the design of th

Hooray Bouquet with Cricut

Here is another stamp set from Close To My Heart's 2011 Autumn Winter Idea Book that I just couldn't wait to try out!  This stamp is called Hooray Bouquet and it has six stamps that coordinate with images on the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. I needed to make a card for a co-worker that is retiring this week. (Lucky gal!)  This was the perfect stamp for the card I had in mind. Hooray Bouquet and Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge The card pattern is from Wishes - Open Outline .   Although there is a template with the book for the cut out circle, I used my cricut cartridge to cut them out.  EASY! Desert Sand is the base for my 6x6 card.  I chose the sorbet pattern paper from the Elemental Paper pack and used one of the circle dimensional elements from the coordinating  Elemental Compliments .  Next I cut out the two flower shapes with the Arts Philosophy cricut cartridge - one on Sorbet cardstock and the smaller one on Colonial White cardstock.   I stamped both with S

A Haunting We Will Go with Mischief!

My workshop for September is the fun layout from the Mischief Workshops On The Go Kit (G1029) !   This kit comes with the Mischief Level 2 Paper pack, Midnight Felt Shapes , a C-size stamp and instructions to complete a 2 page layout.   When I finished the layout, I had enough paper left to complete the optional layout (found under Workshops On The Go on my website - HERE ) and a few cards.  I posted a card a few weeks ago that I created using the August Stamp of the Month - Wicked.  See it HERE .   I was itchin' to create a few more Halloween cards using the paper I still had left and the stamp from the kit.  I thought it would be fun to go back to last year's Hooligan's WOTG kit and create the cards that were featured in that brochure.   This was a lot of fun!   Here is what I came up with!  The zip strips worked perfectly for these cards and I LOVE the big black felt bird! Hope you enjoyed!  Leave me a comment and tell me which is your favorite spooky card!

Getting Ready for My Autumn Winter Open House

Image
I've been working hard all week preparing for my Open House on Saturday so my blog has been getting neglected.   I have not had time to do any challenges but I still check them out to see what I'm missing!   Last weekend I went to a scrapbooking retreat at Petticoat Junction to work on my Open House projects.  I'm looking forward to showing off the new products that Close To My Heart has for Fall and Winter.    Here are a few cards I made last weekend using the Elemental Level 2 kit (X7141B) and the new Remarkable Wreath Stamp.   This stamp caught my eye when I was at convention and I knew right away that it was one that I wanted.  The wreath has 3 different seasons to stamp and I loved using it with the really versatile Elemental paper.   Spring Fall Christmas Remarkable Wreath C1473 Maybe next week things can start returning to normal.   Stay tuned!  Soon I'll share some fun upcoming workshops including my annual Christmas Card workshop

A Weekend at Petticoat Junction!

Image
I took off from work to head to Petticoat Junction in Normandy, Tn to spend the weekend scrappin' with some friends.  I'm hoping to get alot done before my Open House next Saturday while I'm here. I started working on the Mischief Layouts which will be the kit we are doing in September.  The felt shapes that come in this kit are so much fun!   I had plenty of paper left after I finished the 2 layouts and a cute felt fence from the Felt Shapes  that I was just dying to use!  One of the B&T papers is a page full of 'wicthy' labels that I thought would make a cute card.  So I thumbed through one of my favorite how to books for cards- Wishes and found a card design I thought worked perfectly for what I had in mind.   The pattern is called Cubed Collage. I embossed the witch from the August Stamp of the Month - Wicked in black and attached her on top of the cut out labels.  Last touch - the felt fence!    The August Stamp of the Month is just $5.00 with a $50

Autumn/Winter Idea Book - The Best EVER!

Image
Each time Close To My Heart releases their new Idea Book, it seems I always say "This is the BEST BOOK EVER!".   It is amazing how each book continues to be better than the last.   How is it possible to keep outdoing the last?   I truly believe we have the best and most beautiful products on the market!  This year is no exception. We introduced the new Arts Philosophy Cricut Collection - which includes 3 stamps and 3 sets of dimensional elements in addition to the over 700 images you can cut!   It is an AWESOME package.  I can't stop playing with it!   We have many great new stamps and embellishments.  Plus, our B&T paper have been beefed up!  They are now a cardstock weight which makes them easier to use as base pages and also for 3D projects.  AND there is a different design on each side! Consume It - Don't Collect It!   This is our new motto and I love it!   They have slimmed down our Level 2 kits to make them more afforable and yet you can STILL create
