LIMITED EDITION! This Month Only!

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring September's SOTM, Limited Edition, a set of 21 stamps.  If you have come here from BETH NAUMANN'S BLOG, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here .

This month we have 62 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. Following the blog hop is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

So what have I created with this stamp? It has a great stamp for journaling, one to make tags and lots of reminders and notations.  I had to put on my creative challenge hat for this one!

I decided to use our Elemental Paper Pack (X7141B) for this set.   The design of the paper and the design of this stamp set just seemed to go together so well.   As I was looking through my embellishments I came across the Lucky Level 2 Assortment (Z1356) that I had.  I thought these were a great compliment to this paper so decided to use them as well.

I used our Cricut Art Philosophy Z1686) (This cartridge is only available through Close to My Heart) cartridge to make my window cards.  I also used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the "Congratulations" plate.

I LOVE these new tags!  They are the De'cor Journaling Spots (Z1461).  You can add them to your scrapbook pages for hidden journaling.  You can use them as gift tags.   They are the perfect size to stick a gift card too.  Or, make special invitition with them!

What a great set of stamps!  Remember, just like the name of the stamp says..... It's LIMITED EDITION and you can ONLY get it during the Month of September!  Spend $50 and you can add it for just $5.00!  That is a great discount off of the retail price of $17.95.   Contact me to order yours today!

Now keep on Hoppin' and see more great artwork from our Close To My Heart Consultants'.  Continue on to Jen Rubio's Blog to see what she has created for you!

Hooray Bouquet with Cricut

Here is another stamp set from Close To My Heart's 2011 Autumn Winter Idea Book that I just couldn't wait to try out!  This stamp is called Hooray Bouquet and it has six stamps that coordinate with images on the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.

I needed to make a card for a co-worker that is retiring this week. (Lucky gal!)  This was the perfect stamp for the card I had in mind.

Hooray Bouquet and Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge
The card pattern is from Wishes - Open Outline.   Although there is a template with the book for the cut out circle, I used my cricut cartridge to cut them out.  EASY! Desert Sand is the base for my 6x6 card.  I chose the sorbet pattern paper from the Elemental Paper pack and used one of the circle dimensional elements from the coordinating Elemental Compliments.  Next I cut out the two flower shapes with the Arts Philosophy cricut cartridge - one on Sorbet cardstock and the smaller one on Colonial White cardstock.   I stamped both with Sorbet ink. The center of the flower is another Elemental Compliment.   My "hip hip hooray!" was stamped in versa mark ink and I heat set with Clear Detail embossing powder.   Next I sponged Pacifica ink over the Mixed Shape dimensional element.   My final touch was a Just Blooms Paper Shapes butterfly sponged in Sorbet ink with 2 bitty pearls.

I hope she enjoys the card as much as I had fun making it!

A Haunting We Will Go with Mischief!

My workshop for September is the fun layout from the Mischief Workshops On The Go Kit (G1029)!   This kit comes with the Mischief Level 2 Paper pack, Midnight Felt Shapes, a C-size stamp and instructions to complete a 2 page layout.   When I finished the layout, I had enough paper left to complete the optional layout (found under Workshops On The Go on my website - HERE) and a few cards.  I posted a card a few weeks ago that I created using the August Stamp of the Month - Wicked.  See it HERE.

I was itchin' to create a few more Halloween cards using the paper I still had left and the stamp from the kit.  I thought it would be fun to go back to last year's Hooligan's WOTG kit and create the cards that were featured in that brochure.   This was a lot of fun!   Here is what I came up with!  The zip strips worked perfectly for these cards and I LOVE the big black felt bird!

Hope you enjoyed!  Leave me a comment and tell me which is your favorite spooky card!

Getting Ready for My Autumn Winter Open House

I've been working hard all week preparing for my Open House on Saturday so my blog has been getting neglected.   I have not had time to do any challenges but I still check them out to see what I'm missing!   Last weekend I went to a scrapbooking retreat at Petticoat Junction to work on my Open House projects.  I'm looking forward to showing off the new products that Close To My Heart has for Fall and Winter.

Here are a few cards I made last weekend using the Elemental Level 2 kit (X7141B) and the new Remarkable Wreath Stamp.   This stamp caught my eye when I was at convention and I knew right away that it was one that I wanted.  The wreath has 3 different seasons to stamp and I loved using it with the really versatile Elemental paper.

Maybe next week things can start returning to normal.   Stay tuned!  Soon I'll share some fun upcoming workshops including my annual Christmas Card workshop.  I'm really excited about this one!

Celebrate National Stamping Month with a FREE Double D!

A Double D? Yes! It's TWO D-size stamps called Pair-A-Phrase that you get for FREE with a $75 purchase in Close To My Heart Products!   National Stamping Month begins in September but in great CTMH style - we start early! Beginning August 15 and through September 30 we are offering this awesome promotion.

To get this celebration started, we decided to have a special blog hop!  We have over 40 Close To My Heart Consultants participating in this blog hop Pair-A-Phrase Party!  If you came from Shirley Ross' blog then you have been partying on the right track!    If you are just getting started, follow the link at the bottom of my post that will take you to the next blog!

Here are some of the cards that I have made!   So many choices!  I started out with the cute little owl.  I used watercolor pencils and a blending pen to color him.  The paper is from the new MISCHIEF Level 2 Paper kit.  The next card in the back with the bicycle was created with Desert Sand and Cranberry cardstock and the new ELEMENTAL Level 2 paper.   I used our Exclusive Markers from Close To My Heart to color the bicycle and flowers. The little 3x3 card in the front is another piece of ELEMENTAL paper.  The colors used here are Sorbet and Juniper.  I used the Waterbrush and our Exclusive inks to paint the flowers and the basket.

Thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to hop on over to Debra Van Patten's Blog to continue on with the Pair-A-Phrase blog hop party!   After you are finished looking at all of the great atwork, be sure to visit my website at http://www.stampinheaven.myctmh.com/ to place your order and get your FREE Pair-A-Phrase stamp!

A Weekend at Petticoat Junction!

I took off from work to head to Petticoat Junction in Normandy, Tn to spend the weekend scrappin' with some friends.  I'm hoping to get alot done before my Open House next Saturday while I'm here.

I started working on the Mischief Layouts which will be the kit we are doing in September.  The felt shapes that come in this kit are so much fun!   I had plenty of paper left after I finished the 2 layouts and a cute felt fence from the Felt Shapes that I was just dying to use!  One of the B&T papers is a page full of 'wicthy' labels that I thought would make a cute card.  So I thumbed through one of my favorite how to books for cards- Wishes and found a card design I thought worked perfectly for what I had in mind.   The pattern is called Cubed Collage.

I embossed the witch from the August Stamp of the Month - Wicked in black and attached her on top of the cut out labels.  Last touch - the felt fence!

The August Stamp of the Month is just $5.00 with a $50 purchase and you will also get A Typeset stamp for FREE!   See my website for all the details!   http://www.stampinheaven.myctmh.com/

Autumn/Winter Idea Book - The Best EVER!

Each time Close To My Heart releases their new Idea Book, it seems I always say "This is the BEST BOOK EVER!".   It is amazing how each book continues to be better than the last.   How is it possible to keep outdoing the last?

I truly believe we have the best and most beautiful products on the market!  This year is no exception.

We introduced the new Arts Philosophy Cricut Collection - which includes 3 stamps and 3 sets of dimensional elements in addition to the over 700 images you can cut!   It is an AWESOME package.  I can't stop playing with it!   We have many great new stamps and embellishments.  Plus, our B&T paper have been beefed up!  They are now a cardstock weight which makes them easier to use as base pages and also for 3D projects.  AND there is a different design on each side!

Consume It - Don't Collect It!
This is our new motto and I love it!

They have slimmed down our Level 2 kits to make them more afforable and yet you can STILL create 3 layouts and have some leftover!  The best buy is our Workshop On The Go kits.   They come with a Level 2 paper pack, 2 sheets of either White Daisy or Colonial White cardstock, a exclusive C-size stamp (the stamp used to be a B-size), embellishments AND an instruction brochure that gives step by step instructions to create a layout.   It also has shows an additional layout and a bonus project that you can create by going to the Workshops on the Go section of my website.

This month I'm featuring the new Sonoma Kit.    My Hostess Clubs will create this 2 page layout.

On Thursday, August 25, I'm holding a card workshop to create these 5 cards using our new 6x6 Kraft cards & envelopes.

You can come and create only the cards or you can purchase the Sonoma WOTG kit (G1028) and create the layouts AND the cards.   To participate in my card workshop - Please email me to reserve your spot.   More details about the card workshop can be found on my website HERE
(Must pay and RSVP by August 12)

Stay tuned!  I've got loads of product to play with over the next few weeks and I hope to be posting many things soon!
