Mother's Day Card with Dotty For You

I'm back!  Finally finished with the softball season at school.  Well, almost. I still have a lot of paperwork to do but at least I don't have to spend hours up at the field.   The team had a great season and I'm sort of sad to see it end but I'm ready to get back to a somewhat normal life.

I sat down tonight to see what challenges I've been missing.  This week over at Heart 2 Heart the challenge is to make a Mother's Day card.  That is something I need to get done!  Also, over at the 4 Crafty Chicks, the challenge was to make a card using a stamp for the sentiment only.  So, I incorporated those two challenges along with the sketch from Skipping Stones Sketch #127.

Here is my card!  I used the Dotty For You paper from Close To My Heart. This Buttercup and Grey Wool pattern stripe was a piece I had not used yet.

I used CTMH's Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon with Grey Wool ink to match my paper.  I scrunched a piece after dying  the ribbon and used my craft heater to heat set the scrunch.  I set it with Liquid Glass and added a pearl to the center.   My flowers were cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge using the <Flower8> setting at 2 1/2", 2 1/4" and 2".  I layered them using a piece Foam Tape.

My stamped sentiment is from the set 4 My Friend (D1510).

Here is the Skipping Stones Sketch #127:
