Treat Bags for Your Trick Or Treaters!

Image
Halloween is just around the corner!  Today I'm sharing a fun way to give out your treats!  One is a little more detailed and the other is simple and quick!  But no matter which one you create, I'm sure the little monsters will love them. For this first bag, I cut a background image from Close To My Heart's new Artistry Cricut Cartridge in Eggplant, Whisper and Black Cardstock.  I used the Eggplant Cardstock as the background and cut out the bats from the black cardstock and the ghost from the Whisper Cardstock.  I layered them on top of the Eggplant to create a multi-color background.   I added black shimmer trim across the top to seal the folded down edge and a stamped sentiment from Trick or Treat Sweets stamp set.  The 2nd bag was quick to create and would be easy to make alot of these for classroom treat bags.  I used the same stamp - Trick or Treat Sweets to stamp the Frankenstein using a masking technique.  I cut a simple banner, added a strip of pur

Keep the Christmas Memories Alive with White Pines PML

I'm back with a follow up post about the Making Connections Event I attended last week in Memphis.  I am so excited to share this next project we created. We created a cover page and a scrapbook page with the new White Pines Picture My Life Kit and the White Pines Paper pack.  By adding Poppy Thick Twine, White Pines Compliments and Red Enamel Gems, you can really make your Picture My Life pages pop. Here is the cover page.  We took a 4x6 PML card and colored the leaves, flowers and berries with our ShinHan Touch Twin Markers and then wrapped it in Poppy Twine.  We also used papers from the White Pines Paper pack to create this page and accented it with the coordinating compliments and gems.   This page is just beautiful.  Imagine opening your Christmas Album to this page! Next, we created a scrapbook page using more White Pines Picture My Life Cards.  The "Noel" in the upper right corner was cut from one of the 3x4 PML cards.  We also used another 3x4 card to

Making Connections - Memphis

Image
This fall the Corporate Staff has been traveling around the country visiting various cities holding Making Connections events.  These events give Close To My Heart Consultants a chance to meet other consultants, hear a motivational presentation and spend time creating projects that we can bring back and share as workshops with our customers.   We created 2 fun projects that I will be sharing in the next few days.   Brian Holman led the motivational portion of the event.  Brian is the COO of Close To My Heart.  He is the guy in the back with the pink shirt on - not the guy in the front in the gold suit!  It was Memphis!  Of course Elvis was there too! Today I wanted to share some very special layouts that I received as recognition for my accomplishments.  Since my main reason for going was meeting others and to create projects with our new products, I didn't even remember that there would be any type of recognition!  Was I ever surprised.   I think the best thing about being

StampinHeaven Fall Retreat - Recap

Image
My 1st Annual StampinHeaven Fall retreat is in the books!  I had so much fun with all of the ladies that attended!  I hope they had a great time too and accomplished most if not all of what they came to do.  If you missed getting in on the retreat this year, or you are just curious about what all went on, I'll do a little recap! The retreat was held at Henry Horton State Park and lucky for us we had beautiful fall-like weather that weekend!  We've been suffering through heat and humidity all summer so the cooler temps was a very nice break!  Several ladies took a morning walk each morning to get them in shape for the long day and night ahead.   (photo credit - Henry Horton State Park) We had a large room to really spread out so we all 'moved' in for the weekend! Each retreat attendee received a Retreat Layout packet when they arrived.  Their packet included pre-cut pieces of the Paper Fundamentals Cardstock - Enchantment Collection and a full pa

NEW! Mini Stamp Organizers!

Image
One of the new products in Close To My Heart's Annual Inspiration book that I just LOVE is the new Mini Stamp Organizer!   I've been collecting the cute little mini stamps ever since CTMH started producing them.  I love these little stamps but I did not have a good place to store them.  I had been putting them in my medium organizer but that was taking up valuable space for other things I store in there!  So I moved them to a small unattractive little box and then I forgot about them.  But, CTMH saved the day and designed these Mini Stamp Organizers! As soon as I saw these I ordered TWO because I knew I these would make great storage boxes for ribbon too!   I love how they stack. I've got 30 mini stamps in this box!  Now, hopefully I'll start using them more now that I can see them! To order your Mini Stamp Organizers just go to www.stampinheaven.ctmh.com   My Acrylix® Mini Stamp Organizer Z3106 - $12.95
