You get instructions for creating two different cards, but because the card patterns are identical, you can mix and match both the paper and the sentiments however you’d like!

Workshops Your Way® Hello Baby Cardmaking Kit (G1123)
Workshops Your Way® Mother's Day Cardmaking Kit (G1122) (SOLD OUT!)

Today, we are taking these kits and using them in ways other than as shown in the instruction guide!  This hop will be a lot of fun.  If you came from Brenda Lapp's Blog, you are on the right track! At the end of my post you will find the link to next blog to hop to! If you get lost along the way you can find the complete list of hopper HERE.

I have to admit, I purchased the Hello Baby Cardmaking Kit just because I liked the stampset!  It was great timing too because it seems like I know several people having babies soon!

I decided to take this stamp and use it with the Whimsy Fundamental papers.  I created two cards - one for a boy and one for a girl!

Here is a closer look at each card:

I used the Glacier papers for my 'boy' card.  I stamped the hearts and the cloud with Glacier ink and clustered them with the ribbon from the Whimsy Ribbon Pack.

For the 'girl' card I used a the Blossom colors.  I stamped the flag banner accross the bottom for a border and I used the "CONGRATS" as a background on the Blossom Cardstock.  I heat embossed to hearts with our White embossing powder and clustered them around the circle sentiment.  The pink twin is from the Adventure Ribbon pack.

Remember!  These Cardmaking Kits will retire April 30th and are Whiles Supplies Last! Get your favorites before they are gone!

Get Better Soon!

I needed to create a quick card to get in the mail to my Grandma.  So, what is the easiest and quickest way to create a card?  Use Picture My Life Pocket cards of course!

I used a pocket card from the Some Kind of Wonderful paper pack.  I stamped "Get Better Soon" from the Get Better (B1543) stamp set.  I stamped the mug on a piece of B&T, cut it out and popped it up!  I've had this stamp for a while and this is the first time I've used it!

Now THAT is what I call FAST AND EASY!  I'll drop it in the mail tomorrow!

April Stamp of the Month - Flock Together

Welcome to the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Flock Together. This set has 11 stamps. If you have come here from Michelle Rowley's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.

I usually create cards with the stamp of the month but this month I felt like this stamp was geared more towards memory keeping so I created a one page layout.

These pictures are of my daughters.  We had spent the day at 12 South, an up and coming area in Nashville with cool restaurants and boutiques.  BTW Reece Witherspoon has a boutique there.   I love it that my two girls share such a close relationship.  They are five years apart but since they have grown up they have become very close - even living together the last several years.

For this layout, I pulled out my Adventure Fundamentals Paper pack and decided to use papers in Pacifica and Raspberry colors.  Here is a list of all the products I used for this page:

Adventure Fundamental Paper Pack - Z3253
White Daisy Cardstock - 1385
Pacifica Cardstock - X5759
Raspberry Cardstock - X5788
Thin Cut Hearts (Z3260)
Pacifica Ink - Z2892
Raspberry Ink - Z2812
Black & White Dots - Z3314

Remember! This stamp is available ONLY during the month of April!
Get it for $5 with a $50 purchase

This blog hop will be fun....
Come on and follow me to the next blog which is Jen Rubio's blog

and don't worry - if you feel the need to sing the Partridge Family Theme song while hopping go right ahead - I sang it the entire time I was creating this page.  Just something about this stamp......

Dreamin' Big with PML Cards

In February I taught a layout class that used our Dreamin' Big paper pack.  We used most of the paper and a couple of the PML cards from the pack but I still had SEVERAL cards left.  Multiply those cards by the number of paper packs needed for the class and I had a STACK!  So, I turned them into cards for my next Card Buffet!

These cut apart Picture My Life Cards that are included in the paper pack are great for extending you layouts with our popular Pocket Plus Memory Protectors but if you don't have enough pictures to use them, then you can make cards with them.   I love using them to jumpstart a quick and easy card!

Here are four cards that I created.  These will all be included in my next Card Buffet coming up soon!

This card uses the Happy Birthday Thin Cut!  (Z3304)
I also used retired Florence Sequins which actually look great with this paper!

This simple card used TWO PML cards - one for the background and one for the sentiment!
I used the Dreamin' Big Cardmaking stamp and thin cut to add the butterfly.

I love the soft look of this Thinking of You card.  Again, I used the Dreamin' Big Cardmaking stampset and Thin Cuts.  (I LOVE THIS SET!).  Can you find the PML card on this one?  It's the woodgrain piece.  It had a red heart at the top but I covered it up with the juniper piece.

And, last, this really simple card turned out great!!  The "Life is an Adventure" is the PML card. I added a piece of black B&T across the bottom.  I used the Shower Flower (C1612) stamp which coordinates pretty well with this paper.  These flowers had to be fussy cut once I stamped them.  The thin cuts are spoiling me!  I used 3D Foam Tape and Thin Foam tape to give them some dimension.

The Dreamin' Big paper pack will only be available through the end of April!  It's so fun to work with!  Get it before it's gone forever!!

Stay tuned for the date of the my upcoming card buffet!

I needed a Baby Shower card for this past weekend so this blog hop came just in time! When the Basic Circle Thin Cuts came out I couldn't imagine why I would need them!  But it turns out that I did!  They are so much fun.  I used 2 of the circles as peep holes for my card.  I love how I can place them anywhere I want to make my holes!  For this card I used Whimsy Fundamental papers and the elephants from the Baby Bundle Stamp.  I stamped the elephants with Whipser Ink onto the Watercolor pattern paper and their ears on the Sorbet pattern paper.   I used 3D Foam tape on the back of the striped Whimsy paper to pop it up to place the elephants behind.

Recap: Puerto Vallarta Mexico with Close To My Heart

I just returned this past week from my 2nd incentive trip that I earned from Close To My Heart!   What an awesome time we had in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico!  While the 1st trip I earned to Hawaii was exciting and a dream come true, this 2nd trip was even more special!  I think because this time Jeff & I were able to relax a little more and we got to spend even more time getting to know other consultants and their spouses.  As usual, CTMH treats their consultants like Royalty!

We stayed in an all exclusive resort - Riu Palace Pacifico Resort

Upon arrival, once we got to our rooms we had this great big box of goodies waiting for us!

OOOOHHHH Look at all the goodies!

I unpacked a beautiful beach bag, a travel cinch pack (it's sitting in the beach bag),  2 fuse water bottles, a cover up (hanging on the side of the beach bag), 2 caps, and TWO sand mats that zip up to bags!  (these are green).  HOW cool is all this stuff!  Everything came in so handy.
The very first day there was no time for the beach!  We had signed up of an Outdoor Adventure!  This was a day full of zip lining, rappelling, water slides and more!

We started the day in a Zodiak boat that took us on a 30 minute ride across the 2nd largest bay in the world!
Then we boarded these huge 4x4 trucks for a very bouncy ride up a mountain!

Once we arrived at the base camp, we put on our gear and mounted up on mules for another 30 minute trek up the dirt road to the top of the mountain.

This is when the fun began!!

This was the first time EVER for Jeff & I to zip line!  It was so much fun!!

After getting the hang of rappelling - this was fun!  But the water was so so cold at the bottom!

Oh - then came the water slide!  Jeff & I went down together on this one.  There was one at the very end of the trail - straight down and then through some tubes.

Yep - we zip lined up side down!

What a fun day!

The next day was spent on the beach and then by the pool relaxing.

On Sunday, Jeff and I toured San Sebastian.  This village is made up of ancient haciendas and century-old homes that have aged gracefully along with the surrounding mines and fields.  All the streets are cobblestone.  Once a rich mining town of over 20,000 in population, today this town only has about 600 residents.

On Monday, we had another day for relaxation so spend most of the day at the pool.  Almost every night we met up with friends for dinner.

On our last day we did a little bit of snorkling on a day trip.  The best part of the trip was watching the whales on the way back!!

These are the trip earners from the Scattered Hearts team that I am on.

Our last night in Mexico at the Farewell Reception.  These are my "Spa Girlfriends" that earned the trip.  We make a point to meet up whenever we can!

Our parting gift from Close To My Heart that we received on our last night.

Such wonderful memories!  I'm so thankful to Close To My Heart AND all my customers that helped to make this trip possible!

The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.

My mother loves antique floral tea cups so I immediately thought of her when I saw this stamp set.  I created this card with her in mind.

I stamped the plain tea cup on 2 different pattern papers from Hello Lovely - floral for the cup and the more subtle fern pattern for the saucer.   I stamped the flower on another piece of paper from Hello Lovely and added a gold glitter gem to the center.   I cut a small branch of leaves in fern cardstock with the Flower Market Cricut cartridge to set the tea cup on.

StampinHeaven Winter Retreat 2017

Well I know it is called WINTER retreat but it was anything but Winter this past weekend!   I'm still recovering from all the fun we had at my retreat.  It's a good thing I'm going on vacation!  I'll be able to relax and rest up.... I think.

This was my 4th retreat at Henry Horton State park.  We had a packed attendance of 32 ladies that happily scrapped late into the night and back at it in the early morning hours.  One lady even stayed up ALL NIGHT - never went to bed!  What can I say - when you get a 2nd wind and get on a roll it's hard to stop!

I'm missing a couple of ladies from this group shot!

Here is a recap of our weekend!  Each attendee had goodies waiting for them at their table:

The theme was based off of our Sugar Rush paper pack so everyone received a "Donut" name tag, a Water bottle with Pocket tag containing a Lemonade packet, a special Petite Perk stamp, a package of donuts (of course), a pre-cut Retreat Layout (more on that below) and a Mini Folio Album project!

Here is the completed Retreat Layout everyone received:

After the retreat, they could use their donut name tag to add to the left page of the layout.

Here is a closer look at the Mini Folio Album project everyone received.   Everyone received a pack of Zoe Compliments, some pre-cut Zoe papers for the album pages and a photo guide of suggested pages.  They could create an album like mine or create something on their own!

There was a lot of creating going on all weekend....

I offered several classes through out the weekend.  In this class they are putting together their Dreamin' Big Interactive Layout.

It's early morning... Not everyone has arrived back at the crop room
but we did have many early risers!

Everyone was encourage to Scrap their Stash!   They were given a Bingo card and once they completed 5 in a row they received a small prize!

For this retreat I brought my Scrappy Bear that I got to make at Build A Bear at our convention at DisneyLand two years ago.  Scrappy Bear is a special edition bear celebrating Disneyland's 50th Anniversary.  I brought her home and she sits beside the TV watching me create.  This year I decided to bring her to retreat.  I sat her on a table. When someone completed a layout or card, they would get to steal Scrappy Bear.  I set a timer to a random amount of time and when the timer went off, whoever had Scrappy Bear won a small prize.   After the long weekend of busy creating both Scrappy Bear and I were worn out.  She's loosing her headband here and is just too tired to put it back on her head!

So now, I'm going rest up and get my bags packed.  I'm leaving on a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Thursday with my hubby!!  It's a trip I earned from Closed To My Heart!  I can't wait to be pampered!
