During the month of October, Close To My Heart is offering a special Share A Smile Card Kit that coordinates with this stamp.  The kit includes 10 sheets of cardstock, 32 3x3 cards & Envelopes and Thin Cuts that coordinate with our Punny Pals stamp!  All this for just $39.95.  The Punny Pals stamp set is NOT included with the kit so be sure to add it to your order!

I just got my Punny Pals stamp set and couldn't wait to play with it.  These little stamps are just adorable!  I created two cards using inspiration from a recent post by Jennifer McGuire.  I stamped the Punny Pal and then cut the front of the card to create a flap.

Here is a little closer view of each card.   I used watercolor pencils and our waterbrush to color this frog. Then I went over the frog with our Clear Shimmer Brush to give it a bit of shimmer.  I used the silver dots from the Bear Christmas Dots for accents.

On this card, I used the ShinHan Touch Twin markers to color the bear.   Because the marker will bleed through the back of the cardstock, my Lagoon liner covers the back side of the bear also.  (That was not needed when I used the watercolor pencils and waterbrush on the frog card).  I used our new Bashful Pearls to accent the card.

If you love these little Punny Pals, be sure to get the stamp and add the Punny Pals Thin Cuts THIS MONTH!  While the stamp is available through the Annual Inspirations book period (retires July 31), the Punny Pals Thin Cuts are ONLY Available during the month of October or While Supplies Last!

If you purchase the Share a Smile card kit be sure to add the Punny Pals stampset (D1751) to your order!  (stamp is not included with the kit)

Birthday Layout with Punny Pals

My great nephew is turning ONE this month!  When he was born I created an album for him that had a layout for every month of his first year.   So, I wanted to create a special layout for his 1st birthday!  I found out he was having a Clifford themed birthday party.  Since I don't have a Clifford stamp, I grabbed my Punny Pals stamp set which has a cute little dog on it for a good substitute!

I had fun putting this layout together!  I used the Poppy color B&T papers from the Enchantment Fundamentals paper pack and mixed in a little Grey from Basic Fundamentals Paper pack to tone down the brightness of the layout.  I based my layout off of Pattern #36 in the Make It From Your Heart Vol. 3.  I just rearranged the photos differently than the layout in the book.

For my title I cut the font from our new You Are Here cricut Cartridge.  Upper and lower case letters creates a layer.  The bottom layer (typed in ALL CAPS) is cut from Poppy Cardstock.  The top layer (lower case) was cut in White Daisy.  I then stamped the white letter in Poppy Ink with the In The Background stamp set creating diagnonal stripes.   The balloons were also cut from the You Are Here cricut cartridge.   The "EAT CAKE" was cut from the Artistry Cricut Catridge.  Here is a closer look at the letters, dog and Balloons!

October Stamp of the Month - Christmas Tunes

Welcome to the October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Christmas Tunes. This set has 4 stamps. If you have come here from Wendy Coffman's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.

Oh what a fun stamp set this is!!  I had a retreat a few weeks ago and at the last minute I grabbed this stamp and a leftover pack of the Beary Christmas WYW kit.  I never have time to craft my own things when I have retreats but I thought "just in case.... I'll create something with this!".   When I found some crafting time I pulled out the pack of paper and I realized I only had 2 pieces of paper to work with!!  I found some gold foil leftover from a class I was teaching at the retreat to use.  I was able to create this card with the little bit of supplies I brought.  I really like the way it turned out!

Now that I'm home I'm trying to find time to create some more cards. I can't wait to see what everyone else in the hop will inspire me with!  I've got the link to the next blog at the bottom of this post.
