Mixing Fundamental Papers

Today is my youngest daughter's birthday so of course I created her birthday card!   I wanted to use a mix of fundamentals so chose papers from Whimsy and Basics papers.  I based my card design off a design I found on Pinterest created by Denise Tarlington.

It's really a simple design which made the card very easy!  I used the Thistle and Crystal Blue papers from Whismy and Charcoal designs from Basics.  Basic papers really do go with ANY of our paper packs.  It's my favorite pack out of the four (Whimsy, Adventure, Enchantment and Basics).  I cut a few succulents, my daughter's favorite, from our Flower Market Cricut cartrigde.  I used the lighter tone of Thistle for the base and Charcoal cardstock for the outline.

Since this is a BIRTHDAY card of course I had to add sparkle so I used our Clear Shimmer pen on the succulents.  I can't believe that my camera actually picked up the sparkles!

I know the sentiment on the front is not really a birthday sentiment but I thought it was perfect for Kayli.   This is from the stamp set - Inspire C1685.

This month you can get a wonderful deal on our Fundamental products!  The paper packs, complements, and ribbon packs are all 30% off.  That is a VERY NICE savings!  Even better, you can save 40% on BUNDLES!  This has been such a huge hit with our customers. Close to My Heart Christmas Card Blog Hop

We've got a special blog hop for all the cardmakers out there!  Today we are featuring Christmas cards!  On this hop you will see cards created with our beautiful papers, stamps and more!  If you came from Jennifer Dykstra's blog you are on the right track!  This hop is big circle so when you get back to me you will know you completed the hop!  If you get lost along the way, you can get back on track HERE.

If you have followed me for very long, you know I love creating cards with Picture My Life Cards.  It's a great jump start for creating a card and you can create alot in a short amount of time!  In fact, my annual Christmas Card Workshop features the Picture My Life Beary Christmas cards!  Today, I'm sharing three cards I created using another set of Picture My Life cards - Silver & Gold.

I accented the cards with Red Glitter paper. This first card was very simple to create.  I cut down two of the cards and layered on a piece of gold heart B&T paper from the Silver & Gold Paper pack.  The White and Gold Ribbon was perfect for this card.

On the next two cards I used the Silver & Gold cardmaking stamp and thin cuts with gold embossing powder to add ornaments to the card.  I used the Ribbon Thin Cut with red glitter paper to accent.  The ribbon on the top of the ornaments is from the same thin cut.  I just cut it down to just the ribbon.

On this next card, I used the White and Gold twine to hang my ornaments.  I also used Gold Glitter Gems as accents on both cards.

Through the Year - November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Through the Year This set has 24 stamps!  If you have come here from Krista Hershberger's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.

Since Fall is finally arriving here in Middle Tennessee and Thanksgiving right around the corner I thought I would do a "November" page!  I used our beautiful Falling For You paper.  I created a journaling spot using one of the Picture My Life cards that is included on a page in the paper pack.  I stamped "November" and a few leaves.  I stamped the leaves on a piece of B&T paper and cut them out.   The turkey, pumpkins and the word "Thankful" are all from our new You Are Here Cricut Cartridge!  Below is a little closer look!

I used a bit of watercolor paint to paint shadows on the pumpkins and added more leaves from the stamp set.  I think those really added to the pumpkins!  I love this stamp set.  It has so many possibilities for scrapbooking Through The Year!

You will especially want to get this stampset THIS month because it will be used in our Through The Year Calendar kit coming up next month!!  Save BIG buy purchasing it now!  You will get it for $5 with a $50 purchase!  (Regular price is $17.950)
