2019 Summer Virtual Cardmaking Class!

I'm SOOO excited to announce a NEW session of Virtual Cardmaking Classes for Summer 2019!
What is a Virtual Class? And why would YOU want to take it?
What do you get out of it?
I started doing the Virtual Class for several reasons.
Maybe one of these reasons applies you?
  1. The date and time of an actual workshop does not always work with everyone's schedule. Especially in the fall with school activities going on!
  2. I work full time - so can only do classes in the evening. For you.....Going to class while your kids are in school is easier or you don't like driving at night.
  3. I live in Murfreesboro, TN - you live several hours (or days) away!
  4. You like to be crafty at 2am.... I don't (I used to...my body just doesn't allow it anymore!)
  5. You've never created cards. If you are only a scrapbooker, creating cards can be intimidating! I KNOW! When I went to create my first card I was STUCK on where to start!!
  6. You are afraid to cut your paper. You might cut something wrong and you only have one chance to get it right! (Believe me - I've had this fear when I know I have ONE CHANCE to get it right!)
  7. You are not afraid of cutting your paper wrong - you just hate taking the time to cut it! Honestly, some people just do not enjoy cutting paper!
This is a 4 month class. The price of the basic kit each month will always be $30. You will have the option to add 1-4 ink pads at $10 each (ALWAYS OPTIONAL).
The kits are our awesome Workshop Your Way Cardmaking Kits but what makes these kits different is I will order and PRE-CUT the materials for you! When your kit arrives in the mail from me, you will have everything that comes in the original kit PLUS your leftover scraps (you can create more cards!) and the pieces for each card will be sorted into marked envelopes! Now all you have to do is stamp and assemble! *See my note at the end of this post if you prefer to cut your own papers!

As a BONUS, at the end of the summer session, I will send you pre-cut materials to create 4 EXTRA cards using our fabulous Mix In papers with the stamps you already have!
What do these kits include: (See photo below for a recent kit that was shipped)
1. 12 Cards & Envelopes
2. SORTED Pre-Cut Papers plus scraps
3. Embellishments
4. Exclusive Stamp set
5. Printed Instruction Guide

When you join my summer session of classes, you will be sent a link to join a FACEBOOK GROUP CLASSROOM. Between the 15th-20th of the month (I will post a definite date in the 1st week) I will post a Facebook LIVE video in the private classroom group showing how to create each card - walking you through each step start to finish. You can follow along with me LIVE or watch when it is convenient for you! Have a question? Ask away! Share you creations!
ATTENDING CLASS OFFERS A BONUS: In addition to the cards we create in the kit, I share 2 additional cards I created using the same pre-cut pieces in different ways to create a 2nd look! These extra cards aren't shared anywhere else - so attending class is the only way you'll see them! I'll give you stamping tips along the way.
The $30 includes ALL of your kit materials including the stamp set and guide, and priority mail shipping to you! I am NOT including the cost of shipping the kit to me first. Each additional ink added will be $10.00. All payments for the class are through Paypal.
Our first Class will be You're Awesome - Perfect for Graduations!
Ink colors needed to create these cards are:
Heather, Mink, New England Ivy and Sapphire
Block sizes needed: 3 x 3, 1 x 3 1/2; 1x1

Sign up BEFORE May 5 and I will mail you a NEW 2019 Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog!

Email me at gmbscrapper@comcast.net to sign up.
Please specify if you wish to add any additional inks and which colors.
I will send you a paypal invoice.

Do you want to order your kit and cut your own papers?
I will set up a link on my website - "Virtual Cardmaking Class". You can order your kit and any other additional items you want by joining that link! (Note you will need to select regular shipping and NOT Smart Post in order to receive your kit on time!)
If I have class members that order their kits to cut themselves, I will post a video of cutting the papers that you can follow along.
By joining the party link to order your kit, I will know that you need to be added to the classroom and this will also include you in my bonus at the end of the session.

Zoe Returns in Bring Back My Pack!

Today we are featuring the Zoe Paper in this special Blog Hop.  Zoe was a popular paper introduced in 2015.  Close To My Heart has brought it back with updated colors.  If you came from Miss Carrie's Creations blog you are on the right track.  This hop is a big circle.  If you have just started, look for the link to next blog at the end of each post.  When you get back to me, you will know you have completed the hop!

I was so excited when CTMH announced that they were bringing back Zoe.  This paper was one of my ABSOLUTE favorites!  Now the paper pack comes with a 12x12 sticker sheet!  How exciting is that?!   Close To My Heart also created a new workshop guide with this paper.  But I wanted to create something a little different.  I couldn't wait to work with.   I created this layout after I had spent a long weekend working in my yard pulling weeds and prepping for new spring flowers.  So I guess I had spring and flowers on my mind.   I turned to my Flower Market Cricut Cartridge for some fun images that I added to go along with the stickers.

I've created a fun three page workshop for this paper that uses both the Artistry and Flower Market cartridges.  When you purchase the workshop bundle from me I will send you the cutting guide for free!

PRODUCTS USED:

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Love So Sweet

Welcome to the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Love So Sweet. If you have come here from Michelle Loncar's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.

I wanted to use a some of my Celebration Mix In paper so first I chose the Sapphire pattern.  Then I turned to my How To Book to see what colors would look good with Sapphire.  Raspberry, Saffron and Fern were suggested so this was just perfect for my flowers and butterfly!

The grey/white plaid pattern piece is from the Feels Like Home paper pack.  To give my plain rectangle shape some interest, I used the scallop border thin cut on one side.  I used a round tag from the Fancy Tags thin cut set as my 'landing' point for the flowers stamping the greenery in Fern ink and also a small butterfly in Saffron ink directly onto the tag.

Creating a multi-color butterfly is easy!  Here is how I did it.   Using a sponge dauber, I rubbed Saffron ink onto a piece of white daisy cardstock.  Then I rubbed Goldrush onto both sides of the saffron.  Next, I stamped the butterfly in black ink.  You can see that the tips of the wings picked up the Goldrush color while the saffron color shows mostly in the middle.  Try this technique out with other colors.   It really makes some beautiful butterflies!

Remember! This stamp only available during the month of April!
Get it for just $5 with a $50 purchase!
