Picture My Life Blog Hop - Put Your PML Cards to Good Use!

Today we have a fun blog hop for you - and it's one of my favorite things!  Using those Picture My Life Cards!!  If you came here from Brandi Robinson's Blog , you are on the right track!  This hop is big circle so when you get back to me, you will have completed the hop!  Look for the next blog to hop to at the bottom of my post. Originally, the Picture My Life cards were created to make scrapbooking easier for those that didn't want to 'scrapbook'.  It was a quick and easy way to make your albums look great just by adding the beautiful cards along with your photographs into pocket pages.   Many people still use them that way today.  But leave it to CTMH Consultants to find OTHER ways to use these cards!  When these cards were introduced, consultants began creating cards with them because they were a QUICK way to make some beautiful cards!  I, for one, LOVE using them this way.  Close To My Heart's paper packs include 2 sheets of paper that are cut

It's a Southern Thing

I realized that I have been neglecting my blog!  Not totally because I do participate in at least 2 blog hops a month to keep my blog active but it's been a while since I've posted artwork just for sharing.  Life gets busy sometimes and I do what I can that is the quickest.   I have a decent size following in my Facebook Group so I admit, that is where I've been the most active.   You can find it at:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/StampinHeaven/    Ask to join!  I'd love to have you.  (Please note - this is a closed group for anyone that loves Close To My Heart.  Although I LOVE my CTMH Sisters - this group is not for other CTMH Consultants.) So what have I been up to???  The year started out VERY busy with a Winter Retreat and then a trip for my husband I to Thailand!  The trip was earned through Close To My Heart!  What an amazing opportunity!!  I had no idea over 11 years ago when I joined CTMH that I would be going to places I never dreamed of!  Now, here we are

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Color Your Life

Image
Welcome to the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month's stamp is Color Your Life. It has 12 images!! If you came from Michelle Loncar's Blog you are on the right track! The hop is one big circle so when you get back to me you will know you have completed the hop! Many times I'll make a card for the featured Stamp of the Month, mostly because it's quick and easy.  But this time, this stamp just said LAYOUT to me.  I knew that I needed to showcase this stamp in a layout.  I had a vision in my mind what I wanted to do but needed a layout sketch for my jumping off point.  So I grabbed my Make It From Your Heart Vol 4 and started thumbing through the sketches.  I came across Pattern #11 which I thought would work perfectly with just a little adjustment to the pages.  (Instead of have the pretty papers on the outside edges of the layout like the sketch, I turned them so that they would be on the inner edges - leaving plenty of room to stamp on base pages!)
