I thought these stamps would make great little 3x3 Valentine cards!  I kept them very simple - no extra cardstock or papers.  I just stamped them with my Momento ink and used Watercolor pencils to color.  I used a small Waterbrush to blend the watercolor.  Once that dried, I added some Clear Shimmer with our shimmer pen.   I also used a journaling pen to outline the card to give it a finished look.  Each card is stamped with a red heart.  These were so much fun to create! Mixing Fundamental Papers

Image
Today is my youngest daughter's birthday so of course I created her birthday card!   I wanted to use a mix of fundamentals so chose papers from Whimsy and Basics papers.  I based my card design off a design I found on Pinterest created by Denise Tarlington.  It's really a simple design which made the card very easy!  I used the Thistle and Crystal Blue papers from Whismy and Charcoal designs from Basics.  Basic papers really do go with ANY of our paper packs.  It's my favorite pack out of the four (Whimsy, Adventure, Enchantment and Basics).  I cut a few succulents, my daughter's favorite, from our Flower Market Cricut cartrigde.  I used the lighter tone of Thistle for the base and Charcoal cardstock for the outline.   Since this is a BIRTHDAY card of course I had to add sparkle so I used our Clear Shimmer pen on the succulents.  I can't believe that my camera actually picked up the sparkles!   I know the sentiment on the front is not really a bir

Birthday Layout with Punny Pals

Image
My great nephew is turning ONE this month!  When he was born I created an album for him that had a layout for every month of his first year.   So, I wanted to create a special layout for his 1st birthday!  I found out he was having a Clifford themed birthday party.  Since I don't have a Clifford stamp, I grabbed my Punny Pals stamp set which has a cute little dog on it for a good substitute! I had fun putting this layout together!  I used the Poppy color B&T papers from the Enchantment Fundamentals  paper pack and mixed in a little Grey from Basic Fundamentals Paper pack to tone down the brightness of the layout.  I based my layout off of Pattern #36 in the Make It From Your Heart Vol. 3.  I just rearranged the photos differently than the layout in the book. For my title I cut the font from our new You Are Here cricut Cartridge.  Upper and lower case letters creates a layer.  The bottom layer (typed in ALL CAPS) is cut from Poppy Cardstock.  The top layer (lower ca

Oh what a fun stamp set this is!!  I had a retreat a few weeks ago and at the last minute I grabbed this stamp and a leftover pack of the Beary Christmas WYW kit.  I never have time to craft my own things when I have retreats but I thought "just in case.... I'll create something with this!".   When I found some crafting time I pulled out the pack of paper and I realized I only had 2 pieces of paper to work with!!  I found some gold foil leftover from a class I was teaching at the retreat to use.  I was able to create this card with the little bit of supplies I brought.  I

I used silver embossing everywhere on this card!  Trees, deer, sentiment....  It's almost to hard to see in this picture but I used the border stamp and Bashful pigment ink with Clear embossing powder to create the little border just above the Bashf
