Fall Favorites - September Stamp of the Month

Image
Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring "Fall Favorites", a set of 11 stamps.  If you have come here from  LeAnne Dudley's Blog you are on the right path!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.   If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE   We have over 60 consultants participating in the hop. Following the hop is easy, just click on the link at the end of the post and it will hop you right over to the next blog! I was couldn't wait to create something with this set!  It gave me a chance to play with our new alcohol markers!  I had so much fun, I created 3 cards!  I used our new Flirty paper pack for all three cards and Burlap Ribbon.   I'm addicted to the Burlap Ribbon!  I want to put it on everything right now.  Since the Basic color group of the Alcohol Markers aren't available to order yet, I used our reg

A Halloween Banner in Moonlight

Image
Banners are all the rage right now so why not create a fun Halloween Banner that is quick and easy for Halloween?   I created this Banner with Close To My Heart's My Creations Banner .  It comes with 8 chipboard pennants that measure 7" x 6" and includes 7 jump rings.   There was no stamping involved on this banner and using the coordinating Moonlight Paper Packet  and  Moonlight Compliments Dimensional Elements made creating this banner a breeze!  I tied Black Tulle Ribbon  to each of the jump rings and added  Haunted Assortments for a little bling!   I also used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge for some on the background shapes on the pennants.   Since the above picture is so small (had to get the entire banner in!) I'm going to show you two pennants at a time so you can get a closer look!   The little banners on the right pennant are actually from the Compliments Dimensional Elements!   I used Black Hemp to string them together.  Aren't they adora

Making a Banner from a Mini Album

Image
I should have shared this one a while back but time got away from me and I forgot about it until I came across my pictures I took.  It is traditional (and fun) to make little gifts for your convention roommates.  I was waiting until AFTER convention to post these because I didn't want my room mates to see their gifts before they got there - just in case they checked my blog.  :) This year I took our My Creations All-Sort Mini Album (now retired) and made a banner for each of my room mates using a page from the album.  The pages from the album measure approximately 6x6.  I got this idea from the spa retreat that I went on a few years ago and I thought this would be a great idea for a roomie gift. Since we were in the middle of our National Scrapbooking Month campaign so I used the paper from that special - "Dotty  For You" to make each banner.  Each banner also features one of the new cricut images from our Artiste Cricut Cartridge (Z1790) for their name plate.  (At th

A Piece of Cake for Clementine

HAPPY FRIDAY!!  I'm ready for the weekend and some crafty time!  How about you? I just love our new Artiste Cricut Collection!  I made this cute little pie shape box in just minutes.  I was surprised at how fast it came together.  I used Close to My Heart's new  Clementine   (X7156B) paper to make this 'yummy' slice of cake.  I think this would make a really cute Thank You gift for bridesmaids or just about any occasion. Then I just cut and folded!  To 'decorate' my slice of cake I used our new Colonial White Rosette Ribbon (Z1800).  It reminded me of the yummy icing border that is around the cake's edges. I tied a big wide band of our Dark Chocolate Striped Grosgrain Ribbon   (Z1617) around the top and bottom and attached a Thank You sentiment stamped from our new set - Casual Expressions (D1525)   I used the Artiste cartridge to cut out the base for the stamped image. ("b" <shift> Accent 3)  One of the things I really like ab

An Owl in Moonlight - Another Extravaganza Project

Image
Here is another card I created for this year's Extravaganza Moonlight class at our Close To My Heart convention in Dallas.  This card was so much fun to create!  Once again, I used our new Moonlight paper pack to create this 5 x 7 card.   I used our new Artiste Cricut Cartridge  (Z1790) to cut out the Owl.   One key (Eek! <Accent 3>) on the cartridge cuts out the body of the owl.  I used our new SLATE cardstock for the body.   Then using the same measurement and same key plus the "SHIFT" key I cut out the feathers, wings, eyes, nose and feet in our Goldrush cardstock!    I sponged the edges with Goldrush ink to give it more definition and added Bitty Sparkles to each wing.  The owl's eye are dotted with black sparkles from the new Sparkles - Black & Grey Assortment (Z1754).    I used our Black Stubble tool with black ink to add texture to the card base.   Other products used: Perfect Fit - Halloween (B1413 Mini Medley Accent

Life is Good with MOONLIGHT

I've been sharing some artwork that I created for this year's Extravaganza at our Close To My Heart convention.  I've been so busy getting ready for my Open House tomorrow I've haven't had a lot of time to get them all posted.  But I'm going to take a few minutes today to share one of the layouts.   (Be sure to read at the end of my post about a special drawing this month!) Once again, I used the Moonlight paper paper.   It's a Halloween themed kit but I created this layout to show how you can use the paper for events other than Halloween.  This is my good friend Jana and her family. Aren't they a beautiful family!   I printed the pictures in black and white - they went so well with this paper! The new Slate Satin Polka Dot   Ribbon (Z1802) makes a nice pleated border.  I used Glue Dot to pleat the ribbon (because I hate pulling out the sewing machine!).  I also used the new Sparkles Black Flourishes (Z1745).  I love these!  I used the new Art
