Easter Treats in Pint Containers

Image
Check out these adorable Easter Treat Containers! I couldn't resist using the Spring Critters stamp set along with the Penelope paper pack! I created some of these at Christmas where I didn't cover the entire container. If you missed that post, you can see it HERE . This time I wanted to wrap the label all the way around. Creating a 'label' cover for these containers was a bit tedious at first. Since the container has a tapered shape, the label needs to taper to fit it properly. After many tries of adjusting a cupcake wrapper in design space, I finally gave up and cut apart one of the containers and cut a template to scan into design space. This was my first attempt at scanning and uploading an image into Design Space. I have to say.... It was so easy!! Once I got my template created I was able to cut my labels with ease. I used my ShinHan Touch Twin Markers to color the chick and the rabbit and then cut them out with the coordinating Thin

Stampinheaven Winter Retreat

Image
I'm still recovering from my StampinHeaven Winter Retreat! We had a blast.  I shared in my post the other day how I created an easy photo booth for the retreat.   Since the retreat was being held in February and I figured we would have our usual COLD weather and maybe just maybe a little bit of snow, I planned my retreat around a winter theme.   Well, as it turned out, we had temperatures in the mid to upper 60s which is probably typical of Tennessee weather - you just never know one day to the next.  THIS week now they are predicting snow flurries. Since my theme was winter I designed a winter layout for my retreat pack.  Each retreat attendee got everything they needed to create this winter layout below.    All of these images were cut from the Atistry cricut catridge.  I love it how the lodge reminded me of the lodge we were staying in!  After taking photos in front of my winter theme photo booth, they could then attach pictures to the layout! I attached some of my photos in

Create Your Own Photo Booth Props!

Image
This past weekend I hosted a Scrapbooking Retreat at Henry Horton State Park.    I decided to add a little fun to our retreat by creating a Photo Booth.    This was easy do and creating props was easy with Close To  My Heart's Artistry and Artiste Cricut Cartridges! First, I created a backdrop using plastic tablecloths and painter's tape (for clean and easy removable) and added a few large snowflakes cut from Glitter Paper along with some strands of silver ribbon.   I had a Winter theme even though it was mid to upper 60's here in Tennessee all weekend! Who knew February would be so warm?! Here are some of the props I created with the Close To My Heart Artistry and Artiste Cricut Cartridges.   There were different speech bubbles on each cartridge.  I used the Handwritten Print (E1030) stamp for the phrases.  This was a good size font that was easy to read.  The sunglasses and champagne glass was cut from the Artistry Cartridge, and the mustaches were from cut f

You Make Me Smile - Share the Love

Image
We are still celebrating February with Share the Love!  Today I'm sharing another card I created with this fun stamp! For this card I used our Watercolor Paints to create a wash of color for the background. Then I used 2nd generation stamping to stamp the camera on to of the watercolor paint.  I used a couple of hearts from the Charlotte Compliments in the center of the Black/Gold ribbon.  The bottom border is from a Charlotte PML card that I cut apart.   I finished the card with a hand-drawn border. I've got one more card to share so be sure to come back to visit! Remember! The stamp is available during the month of February ONLY!  When you purchase this stamp, $7 will be donated to Operation Smile! Shop my website at www.stampinheaven.ctmh.com

10 Year Anniversary!

Wow!!  They say time flies when you are having fun and that is so true!  I had no idea what was in store for me when I signed up with Close To My Heart 10 years ago.  I did not know that I would gain so many friends all around the country.  Also, I never would have guessed how much I would love teaching and sharing with others.   This journey that I have been on the last ten years has been a wonderful part of my life.  Recently at a Team Builders event in Utah, we were sharing what brought us to Close To My Heart and what would keep us here.   I said that I could never see myself leaving. I plan to be in my 90's and still sharing my love for this wonderful company because of the relationships that I have built with my customers, other consultants and even the corporate staff. Since 10 years is a big milestone for me, I wanted to share it with my customers so I am doing something special this month!  I'm giving away a FREE stamp set with your purchase!  This isn't just
