I had the wonderful opportunity to teach at this year's Extravaganza classes at Close To My Heart's annual convention. I had so many new things it was hard to choose what I would share in today's New Product Blog Hop!
Today, I'm sharing a couple of Home Decor Items! I used the new Moonlight paper to show another use for this paper besides Halloween. Moonlight's Smokey Plum Stripes and Diamond papers are perfect for Home Decor!
The star is our new My Creations Star (Z1803). It is pre-assembled chipboard and has a hole in the back for hanging. The star measures is 12". To cover the star, I created a template for the points. Then I used it to cut out my pattern paper. I alternated the patterns on each point. Before I adhered the paper to the star I sponged the edges of the star and the papers with Smokey Plum Ink. I like to use our Bonding Memories Glue (1512) when adhering paper to our My Creations products.
I used our new Artiste Cricut Cartridge to cut the banner "5" <Accent 1> and the frame "5" <Accent 1 Shift> at 2 1/2". The sentiment is from one of my favorite stamps - Love Life (D1482). For my finishing touches I added the adhesive backed square Durable Studs (Z1705). I tied our new Black Tulle Ribbon (Z1798) around the points of the star and used the ribbon as my hanger.
Next. I altered an inexpensive black frame using the same pattern paper. The inner border of the frame is from the zip strips that I removed from the paper. I added some larger sparkles from the Black & Grey Assortment sparkles (Z1754) in the top right corner and tied Black Tulle Ribbon around the bottom of the picture. To finish off my bow I added a metal rose clip from our new Boutique Assortments (Z1763).
