A Halloween Banner in Moonlight

Image
Banners are all the rage right now so why not create a fun Halloween Banner that is quick and easy for Halloween?   I created this Banner with Close To My Heart's My Creations Banner .  It comes with 8 chipboard pennants that measure 7" x 6" and includes 7 jump rings.   There was no stamping involved on this banner and using the coordinating Moonlight Paper Packet  and  Moonlight Compliments Dimensional Elements made creating this banner a breeze!  I tied Black Tulle Ribbon  to each of the jump rings and added  Haunted Assortments for a little bling!   I also used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge for some on the background shapes on the pennants.   Since the above picture is so small (had to get the entire banner in!) I'm going to show you two pennants at a time so you can get a closer look!   The little banners on the right pennant are actually from the Compliments Dimensional Elements!   I used Black H...

An Owl in Moonlight - Another Extravaganza Project

Image
Here is another card I created for this year's Extravaganza Moonlight class at our Close To My Heart convention in Dallas.  This card was so much fun to create!  Once again, I used our new Moonlight paper pack to create this 5 x 7 card.   I used our new Artiste Cricut Cartridge  (Z1790) to cut out the Owl.   One key (Eek! <Accent 3>) on the cartridge cuts out the body of the owl.  I used our new SLATE cardstock for the body.   Then using the same measurement and same key plus the "SHIFT" key I cut out the feathers, wings, eyes, nose and feet in our Goldrush cardstock!    I sponged the edges with Goldrush ink to give it more definition and added Bitty Sparkles to each wing.  The owl's eye are dotted with black sparkles from the new Sparkles - Black & Grey Assortment (Z1754).    I used our Black Stubble tool with black ink to add texture to the card base.   Other products used: Perfect...

Life is Good with MOONLIGHT

Image
I've been sharing some artwork that I created for this year's Extravaganza at our Close To My Heart convention.  I've been so busy getting ready for my Open House tomorrow I've haven't had a lot of time to get them all posted.  But I'm going to take a few minutes today to share one of the layouts.   (Be sure to read at the end of my post about a special drawing this month!) Once again, I used the Moonlight paper paper.   It's a Halloween themed kit but I created this layout to show how you can use the paper for events other than Halloween.  This is my good friend Jana and her family. Aren't they a beautiful family!   I printed the pictures in black and white - they went so well with this paper! The new Slate Satin Polka Dot   Ribbon (Z1802) makes a nice pleated border.  I used Glue Dot to pleat the ribbon (because I hate pulling out the sewing machine!).  I also used the new Sparkles Black Flourishes (Z1745).  I love thes...

Extravagaza Art - A trip to the Pumpkin Farm with Moonlight

Image
Here are more pictures of my Extravaganza Art that I created for our Close To My Heart Convention last week.   My assigned paper pack was Moonlight.   This paper has an enchanting feel that is great for your pictures for that spooky October night, or maybe a trip to a pumpkin farm.   I chose to create a layout for fun day at a Pumpkin Farm. Since my girls have outgrown Halloween and pumpkin farms, my good friend Jana let me use pictures of her adorable girls for these layouts.   This was a quick and easy layout because I used the Moonlight Dimensional Element Compliments and no stamping was involved!! The big circle on the left page is one of the new doily shapes from thee   Artiste Cricut CartridgE . This was cut using the "1"<Accent 3> key.   I also used Natural Hemp   (Z280) and bling from the fun new Haunted Assortment!   Check out the cute banner I made using the Moonlight Compliments and hemp! Moonlight Paper (X71...

Extravaganza Art - Moonlight Layout

Image
Here is one of many posts that I will be posting to show my Extravaganza Art that I created for the Close To My Heart Convention a few weeks ago.  This was my first time EVER teaching at Extravaganza.  Although the time I had to create was short and just a little bit stressful before convention, I LOVED getting the chance to talk about something I loved.  The artwork by the other teachers was just AMAZING and I felt really humbled to be 'one of them'.   I hope that I get a chance to do it again next year if I decide to apply again. I'm going to be sharing over the next few weeks the many items that I created.   My 'assigned' paper pack was the new Moonlight kit.  This is a Halloween themed paper.  When I first got my assignment I thought.... "Oh no!  My girls have outgrown Halloween years ago!"   I was lucky enough to have a friend with 2 adorable little girls that let me use her photographs for some of my layouts.   I tried to show ...
