Here is another card I made a few month's ago with this month's Stamp of the Month - "Life is Tweet". This was one of my entries for my application teach at this year's Close To My Heart Convention in Dallas, Texas.   For this card I used the Colonial White Die Cut Cards and Envelopes (Z1738) .  These tri-fold cards are 3 1/2" x 8". I love the die cut flap for these cards.   I used paper from the Florentine paper pack (X7153B) and Olive cardstock as my base. I used the Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon (Z1732) and dyed it twilight to match the color of my bird.  I stamped the bird onto a piece of the B&T paper from the Florentine paper pack.   I made a ribbon flower for my flap by twisting it as I adhered it to the stamped flower that I cut from the Florentine paper.   Here is a closer look: I 'faked' stitching around the pattern pieces and the border of the card by using my ruler and a paper piercer.  Once I pierced th...

I needed to created a wedding card for my daughter's friend.  Using the sketch from Pals Paper Arts this week and my Card Word Puzzle (C1494)  stamp, I created this silver embossed card.   I randomly stamped the flower using Versa Mark ink on to a piece of White Daisy cardstock.   Then I embossed the flowers with Silver Embossing Powder.   I stamped and embossed three more flowers that I would cut out separately.  You can't really see on the picture below but the lower flower on the right is 'popped' out using the flowers I cut out and layered. Here is a closer look at my layered flower.  It gives a little bit of dimension to the card. Since I didn't have any silver ribbon to use for this card, I pulled out my Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon (Z1732) .  I love this ribbon because I can get any color I need just by sponging the ink onto the ribbon.  Viola! Have you noticed I changed my blog header?   I made this mini banner with one of Close To My Heart's new My Creation products.  The My Creations Mini Banner  (Z1736) has 10 white chipboard pennants in four different shapes.   They measure 3" x 4".  Perfect size to create something fairly quickly. I used the Stella Paper Pack  (X7147B) to cover the chipboard pieces.  This was AFTER I created 2 layouts, and six cards!  Just shows how much you get out Close To My Heart's paper packs for only $9.95! - And I still have paper left! I had so much fun putting this together.  I sponged Lagoon, Cocoa and Sunset ink on the different letters of the  Dimensional Element Monograms for the word "create".   Creating this banner was even easier using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (Z1686).   I just selected the shape on the cartridge and cut the my paper to fit the size of the banners! ...

One of my MOST Favorite new products in Close To My Heart's new Spring Summer Idea Book is the Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon (Z1732) .  Have you ever been working on a layout or card and you don't have just the right color of  ribbon you need for that added pizzazz?  Now all you need is this one roll and you can have every color you ever wanted! Once I got this new ribbon, I have been planning my projects around the ribbon just so I can color the ribbon! I love it!  You can color the ribbon with a spray mister (a cool effect) or dye it in re-inker.
