A Mother's Day Card

Image
Mother's Day is just around the corner.  I'm a little behind on getting my cards made but I have finished one!  I'm sharing this one today.  I couldn't wait to get the "Mother's Day" stamp when it was first released in Close To My Heart's Spring Summer Idea Book.  I actually started this card over a week ago and after playing around with ideas for a while I had to set it aside.  One of those lack of mojo days I guess.  But I came back to it last weekend and began to put it together.  I love using silhouette stamps. There is an elegance about them that really appeals to me.  I'm not sure I did this one justice but I do like the way the card turned out. I used some paper from the Skylark  (X7177B) paper pack.  For my Mother's Day sentiment I cut a shape from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and stamped the frame with one of the frames from the set - Frame Flair (D1546).   I used sparkles from the Sparkles Clear Assort...

Thinking of You in Colors For Spring!

Image
Boy does my little corner of StampinHeaven miss me!  Luckily I've got a few cards in my stash I haven't shared, so although I've been sitting at softball fields and NOT in my craft room I still have a few things to share so my poor little blog is so lonely. Here is a card I created a while back.  I was inspired by this sketch from Paper Trey Ink -                                                         My card didn't quite come out with the angle I intended like the sketch above.  When I saw the sketch I knew immediately that I wanted to use our new Chantilly textiles (Z1819) and the Hollyhock Zipper Lace (Z1826) .  I used Chantilly paper (X7163B) for this card because it reminds me of Spring! (Which I wish would come SOON!).     To create my layers I cut the fabric in 1/2" strips.  Then ...

Frame Flair for Mojo Monday

Image
This is one of those cards that just 'came' to me one morning as I was waking up!  Have you ever had that happen? The Mojo Monday sketch came out on Monday and I didn't really have much time to create something. Then, on Wednesday morning as I was coming out of my dream state an idea for this sketch just came to me!  It was all I could think about all morning but I didn't have a chance to put my idea to cardstock and stamps until this afternoon. (Barely getting it posted in time!) My actual card is pretty close to what I had 'created' in my dream state. Here is the Mojo Monday sketch:                                                       I love the idea of the different pattern circles.   I had the perfect circle frames I wanted to try out on my card - Frame Flair (D1546) I stamped the frames in Outdoor D...

Sneak Peek of Chantilly - Birthday Card

Image
The day after the new Seize The Birthday challenge was posted, my new products for Close To My Heart's Spring Summer Idea Book arrived.  As I opened each packet of new paper I knew immediately that I would be creating a card with Chantilly for this challenge!   If you haven't discovered Seize the Birthday yet, it's brand new and I'm going to really like this one.  It's all about Birthday cards!  They will post a new Sketch every two weeks - Use the sketch the first week to create a 'girly' card. The second week you create a masculine card using the same sketch.  I can already tell that this one will be fun! Here is the sketch: Here is my card for the 'girly' week! The papers are from the new Chantilly (X7163B)  paper pack that will be available February 1.  I used two brand new stamps set that will be released then also.  The frame, which coordinates with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge, is from the set Frame Flair (D1548).  Th...
