Dream Pop Special Preview Blog Hop

When I got my paper pack in hand I knew I wanted to created something extra special!  My baby is graduating from High School in May.  She loves bright colors and hot trends so I wanted to create a special book so that she could record those special memories this past year.   I used Close To My Heart's My Creation's Bookmark Album to create this book.  




This book has a magnetic flap closure which is not really designed for a lot of 3D depth and layering on the pages.  I wanted to add lots of accents and layers so I cut the flap from the back page and the spine from the  middle.   I really liked the look of the flap so I covered the flap and glued it to the front cover.  I replaced the small rings with larger rings to fit my now bulky pages.

Here are a couple of pages from the book.  I'm still working on the others and will share when I'm finished.

Now, I want to share with a cute way to make a gift card holder!  I used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge to make this holder.  It was very simple!  The Cricut cuts the card and it folds so that you can slip a gift card inside! I set the cricut to cut at 5".  I recycled an old gift card so my card is a little thick. This size worked well.   If inserting a regular card you can use 4 3/4" measurement.  "Merry Christmas" is also cut using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I set the measurement to 2".               To re
