What a cute stamp!! I wanted to try something a little different with the bear. She is a pretty big solid stamp and I wanted to add a little texture to make her look 'furry'. So I played around with various tools and techniques until I found one I liked.
First I inked the bear in Espresso Ink. Then I took an old CTMH plastic daubing tool (remember these??? I loved them!) and I brushed across the ink in short brisk strokes.
I hoping for this same stamped image but found when I pressed down on the stamp, the ink spread a little bit, somewhat obscuring the lines I had created with the brush. They were still there but not as clear. So next, I grabbed my bottle of Transparent Matte Texture paste. Using the smallest palette knife, I dabbed on the texture paste making sure there were no smooth areas. I used the craft heater on it just a little bit to speed the drying. Since the bear was a little 'curled' from texture paste, I cut out three other images that had been stamped as trial and errors and layered them together.
The rest was easy. I kept the rest of the card pretty simple, stamping the flowers and butterfly with Espresso ink directly onto the card base. I used Into the Wild paper for the tag and the stitched rectangle.
Here is everything I used to create this card:
