April Stamp of the Month - O-fish-ally Awesome

Are you ready for the cutest stamp EVER???   In this month's blog hop we are featuring this exclusive stamp - O-fish-ally Awesome!  And it really is!  This stamp set includes 37 under the sea images.... fishes, seaweed, coral, treasure and more!  SO MUCH FUN!   SO.... if you swam over here from Brenda Lapp's blog you are on the right wave.  This hop is a big circle.  Just look for the next blog link at the bottom of my post.  If you are just getting started on the hop, when you get back to me you will know you have completed the circle!  If you get lost along the way like Nemo, you can find the entire school of hoppers HERE.

This was so much fun!  At first I started with a piece of Carolina Blue cardstock for my water background and something about it just wasn't right.  Then I remembered a fun water color technique using water color paint and saran wrap!  So I grabbed some watercolor paper, watercolor paints, a paint brush and plastic wrap.  After adding a wash of 3 colors of blue, I stretched the plastic wrap across the cardstock and let it sit for a bit.  When it was dry I was able to add stamping and finish my card.

For the sand, I started the first layer (in the back) with Almond cardstock, tearing the edge.  Next I layered with a piece of the light side of Toffee, and the top layer is the dark side of Toffee tearing the top edges of each.    I stamped the sea weed onto the card right on top of my watercolor paint and colored with my Tri-blend markers.  Everything else I stamped and colored on white daisy cardstock and then fussy cut.  (yes - I fussy cut all those tiny pieces.)

Check out the fish bubbles.  I stamped the bubble images and then added liquid glass to each one.  Once they were dry, I colored the bubble with a blue Tri-blend marker.
