Christmas in July Blog Hop - White Pines

Today we have a special blog hop for you featuring all things CHRISTMAS!!  Do you like to get a head start on your Christmas Cards or Christmas Crafting?  This hop might give you some inspiration!  I can't wait to see what everyone has been working on!  If you came from Krista's Crafty Corner you are on the right track.  The hop is a big circle so when you arrive at the blog you started, you will know you completed the hop! If you get lost along the way, you can find the entire list of hoppers HERE.

I created a winter holiday scene on a slimline card featuring the animals on our Miracles of Christmas stamp (CC72114).

I stamped each animal onto a piece of White Daisy Cardstock and used a variety of Tri-blend Markers to color. (Because the alcohol markers bleed through, I did not stamp directly on the card.)   I used Versa Mark ink and White embossing powder for the snowflakes.  Before I added the blue skies and green grass, I stamped each animal on a post it note and hand-trimmed.   I used these to mask the animals I colored so that I could sponge the Distress Oxide inks onto the card around the animals.  I stamped the little branch across the bottom with Fern Ink for the grass.

I added hand-trimmed ornaments and presents with 3D foam for extra dimension.

Here is a little closer look at the card.  See how the Clear Shimmer Brush reacted with the Distress Oxide ink when I splattered it onto the card.

I had fun creating this Christmas scene!  I hope you enjoyed it!   Here is a list of products that I used on my card:
