Core Catalog New Product Blog Hop

 


Welcome to our Core Catalog NEW Product Blog Hop!!  Our Core Catalog is our MAIN catalog for Close To My Heart.   It contains all of the CORE products that any crafter will need such as inks, cardstock, tools, embellishments, and even several special paper packs that will be available all year long! This catalog was just released on September 1 and there are so many exciting new products!   This blog hop will showcase many of these new products!  I can't wait to see what everyone has been working on!  If you came from Lauren's CTMH Craftings Blog you are on the right track.  The hop is a big circle so when you arrive at the blog you started, you will know you completed the hop! If you get lost along the way, you can find the entire list of hoppers HERE.

Recently I hosted a four day retreat.  One of the 'gifts' to my attendees is a pre-cut layout that they can put together to document their time spent with friends crafting for the weekend.  The layout I designed showcased the As You Grow paper along with many other new products in our Core catalog.



Although the stickers for this paper collection might have a baby type theme, you can see that it can be used for ANYTHING!  For my title I used 2 of our many new Alphabet stamps!  The Stitched Alphabet is one of my new favorites.   I used our new Harbour Ink and 2nd generation stamping for the filled image and 1st generation for the stitched outline. The lines for my jounaling piece are from this set also.  The word '"CRAFTERS" was stamped with the Bold Marker Alphabet stamp.

Another stamp I used (AND LOVE!) is the Perfectly Imperfect stamp!  The ink blotches were stamped in 2nd generation and the ink splatters were stamped in 1st generation.  I have already used this set multiple times on other projects!

The Papaya/Shortbread flowers were images cut with our Flower Market Cricut collection.  I needed a few leaves for my flowers so I used the new Pumpkin Spice Wood Stickers (from the Sept/October catalog).  A bit of Rose Gold Shimmer trim added the final touch that I was looking for in this layout.

Now, I want to share with a cute way to make a gift card holder!  I used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge to make this holder.  It was very simple!  The Cricut cuts the card and it folds so that you can slip a gift card inside! I set the cricut to cut at 5".  I recycled an old gift card so my card is a little thick. This size worked well.   If inserting a regular card you can use 4 3/4" measurement.  "Merry Christmas" is also cut using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I set the measurement to 2".               To re
