March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Birthday Time

Image
Welcome to the March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month's stamp is Birthday Time. It has 26 images!!  If you came from Shelly Mendenhall 's Blog you are on the right track! The hop is one big circle so when you get back to me you will know you have completed the hop! Oh what fun I had with this stamp!!  Once I made my first card, I just couldn't stop!!  I have a nephew that will be having his first birthday soon, so I had him in mind when I created this card.  I used our Stargazer paper.  This paper just says boy's birthdays to me so I knew it would be the paper I would feature with this card. If you are wondering about the polka dot paper and where it came from in the pack, it is one of the cut apart PML cards!   I used this card as my starting point and built up from that.  BTW, I used Pattern #7 from our new Make It From Your Heart Vol 4.   I stamped the "1" in Sapphire ink and then stamped it again in Ruby in....

Happy 97th Birthday!

My Grandma will be celebrating her 97th birthday on Thursday!  I wanted to create a fun card for her and the Balloon Ride (X7180B)  paper seemed to just fit her personality.   Balloon Ride is so carefree and happy. My Grandma is an amazing woman.  She still lives on her family farm, remarried at the young age of 87, and has traveled all over the world.  She was just featured in the Newburgh Magazine in an article "Love of  Lifetime".  You can read it here if you like -  Newburgh Magzine .   It's on page 42. For this card I used Sketch #22 from Seize the Sketch       Product Used The Balloon Ride paper, compliments and assortments will all retire July 31 so if you really like this line you need to order before July 31!  Shop my website 24/7!  Start shopping  HERE !

A Sweet 16 Birthday

*** This card was chosen as Heart 2 Heart's TOP TEN in October!*** I've got SEVERAL birthday's in my family next month.  My daughter turns 17, but right behind her is my niece and my nephew who are both turning 16!  It has been fun seeing them grow up together.  It's hard to believe they are teenagers now. Each year at Thanksgiving, when our families gather together, we celebrate their birthdays. My niece's birthday is actually on Thanksgiving Day this year. Two challenges this week helped me get my niece's birthday card made early!  First, the Heart 2 Heart (H2H) Challenge was to create a card using numbers. Then I found a great sketch over at  Tuesday Morning Sketches  by Theresa Winslow that I used for the card. Here's the sketch: Here's my card! The paper is from the new Roxie Level 2 Paper pack (X7140B) .  Don't you just LOVE the Zebra stripe? And girls love it too so this was the perfect paper to use for this card. ...
