Color Throwdown for Christmas Cheer

            Looking for the December Stamp of the Month?  You can get right to it  HERE . It's been a long time since I've colored with markers.   Lately when I've been coloring my images I've used the blending pen with ink, or watercolor pencils.   When I saw the colors in the Color Throwdown Challenge this time I just knew I had to use my Close To My Heart Markers.  So I stamped some images and set to coloring!   Aren't these great colors?   Would you think of Christmas for these colors?  I did!  I used Close to My Heart colors Outdoor Denim, Olive, Cranberry and Honey.   I had fun with this 6x6 card.   The stamp set is Christmas Cheer (D1491) which is perfect for coloring.  I added some Red Glitz Glitter Gel for a little accent under the Merry Christmas.   I also scissor distressed the edges of each cardstock piece to bring out the white core.  I used "One the...

Santa Brings Christmas Cheer!

Here is card #2 with the Christmas Cheer stamp set.   This time I used the Jolly o' Elf himself - Santa along with the sketch from Just Us Girls Challenge Blog.                                                     I used the Waterbrush to color Santa and added Glitz Glitter Gel to his fur to give it a little sparkle (although you can't really see it here).   The tag was cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge which coordinates so well with the stamp I used. Yes, It's just now October and I have traded my Autumn Terracotta and Honey inks and cardstock for Holiday Red and New England Ivy.  It's never too early to start you creating Christmas cards - especially if you have a long list of friends and family you want to send Christmas Cheer to.  I pulled out the new Christmas Cheer stamp to create with this week. I used the card sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping for this card.   My card is a vertical version of this sketch because it fits the Christmas Tree so well.                                                              I used New England Ivy Cardstock for my base.  The plaid piece is from the Believe Level 2 paper pack...
