Recently I created the three layouts in the Jeepers Creepers Workshop Your Way kit.  The cutting guide also includes cutting directions for three sets of cards of 3 different designs.  Since I don't really send out Halloween Cards I decided to create one of each of the designs. Instead of using the recommended stamp set, I used my leftover compliments that were included in the WYW kit. I just love the little googly eyes from the the Jeepers Creepers Assortments!  The Compliments and Assortments are both included in the Jeepers Creepers Workshop Your Way Kit. I managed to sneak in some play time last night while watching the season premier of Nashville.  (Yes, I'm a big fan!)  Although I really wanted to create another pop-up card, I thought I'd stick to the same key I used for my Happy Halloween card I shared the other day. This time I used the swing function key to create this Halloween 5x7 Swing card! I cut two base pieces.  One, from Sunset Cardstock and the other from a piece of B&T Scaredy Cat paper pack (X7185B).  I trimmed 1/8" off from all the edges of the B&T piece so that the Sunset cardstock would still show.  I added a piece of black cardstock behind the pumpkin and then I adhered the B&T piece right on top.  Next I cut out the "BOO" using the SHIFT key for the swing card onto a different piece of Scaredy Cat B&T. Who is saying "BOO"?  It's the 'witchy bird' from the Scardy Cat Compliments! I also added Black Shimmer Trim and Black epoxy stars fro...

Here is another fun Halloween card using the Creepy Creatures Stamp set!   For this card, I cut a doily from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge <1> Accent 3 and layered it behind Sweet Leaf Cardstock stamped with a border of bats and stars.  I stamped two ghosts and layered one on top of the other by using the Adhesive Springs (Z1725).  Here is a close up: How fun!  The ghost jiggles!  The ribbon across the front of the card is our Silver Shimmer Trim (Z1799).   This ribbon is adhesive backed and so easy to apply! Hello!  I'm away on my annual MAD trip so I've schedule a few posts to keep you company while I'm gone!    MAD stands for Mother and Daughters.   Each year my mom, three sisters and I take a break from work, families and our busy lives we lead to spend a few days together doing something fun.   This is our 11th year for this trip. I'll have lots to tell when I get back but for now, here is a Halloween card to share! I love this cute little Creepy Creature Stamp (C1522)  set!  I cut the spider web border using the Artiste Cricut cartridge <Spooky> Accent 4 key.  I used an embossing tool to make my lines in the Slate Cardstock and sanded them to bring out the white core.  Next I strung the black hemp randomly around the piece of Slate Cardstock.   The little black skulls are from the Haunted Assortment (Z1741) . Here is another card I created for this year's Extravaganza Moonlight class at our Close To My Heart convention in Dallas.  This card was so much fun to create!  Once again, I used our new Moonlight paper pack to create this 5 x 7 card.   I used our new Artiste Cricut Cartridge  (Z1790) to cut out the Owl.   One key (Eek! <Accent 3>) on the cartridge cuts out the body of the owl.  I used our new SLATE cardstock for the body.   Then using the same measurement and same key plus the "SHIFT" key I cut out the feathers, wings, eyes, nose and feet in our Goldrush cardstock!    I sponged the edges with Goldrush ink to give it more definition and added Bitty Sparkles to each wing.  The owl's eye are dotted with black sparkles from the new Sparkles - Black & Grey Assortment (Z1754).    I used our Black Stubble tool with black ink to add texture to the card base.   Other products used: Perfect...

I was going strong this week with my creativity and I had a goal to complete all 4 Moxie Fab sketches before the week was out.  I achieved my goal but I think my creativity was waning near the end.  I was not entirely happy with the last card but I wanted to share it anyway since I used a new to me technique.  It's called Ghosting .   How appropriate for a Halloween card! The idea for this card came to me as I was actually trying out this technique on another card I was creating.   That seems to happen to me alot.   Ghosting is stamping an image on a light piece of cardstock with Versa Mark ink and use clear embossing powder to emboss.  Once the embossing is cool, use a sponge and dark ink and rub over the embossed image.   This part I've done many times on artwork.  The shinyness looks cool and ink doesn't adhere to the embossing.   Now... this is the cool 'ghosting' part.   Take a scrap piece of paper and lay it over y...
