August Stamp of the Month - Framed

Image
Welcome to the August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Framed, a set of 12 stamps - three frames and nine sentiments! If you have come here from Judy Burger's Blog , you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE . This set actually coordinates with our newest Cricut Collection - Artistry.  When I first saw this stamp I thought SUNBURST CARD!  I love it when an idea comes together so quickly!   I used Whimsy Paper Fundamentals Cardstock for this card. I alternated using the front and back sides.  Since the Glacier Extra Thick Twine really IS extra thick, instead of wrapping it around the card, I used our mini stapler to attach it to the card!  I love using the stapler this way! This is the card I will be teaching in my Technique Tuesday Class. Fo...

Lovely Birthday

Image
July is a month full of birthday's in my family - two of my sisters have birthdays!  With convention earlier this month and then a frenzy of planning once I got home, these birthdays about slipped away before I realized it!  I had to put away my new stuff and concentrate on the 2 upcoming birthdays. First I'm sharing the card I created for my sister Suzan. Today is her birthday! No Longer a Teenager

Image
Yesterday my youngest daughter turned 20!  The other night my husband noted that very soon we would no longer have a teenager in the house.  Boy, that felt weird..... after all these years.  Makes me feel just a wee bit old.   But, really I'm enjoying the age both my daughters have become.  Both beautiful young ladies that I really love spending time with. For my daughter's birthday card I chose to use the special Hostess Only Stamp "Better With a Friend" . This is so Kayli.  She loves dogs and actually I think she wanted one for her birthday but we already have a dog in the house that thinks he is human.   We sure don't need another one! When I started the card, I couldn't decide what colors to use so I went to check out the challenge blogs to see if there was something that would help me out.  I chose the color challenge from the Just Us Girls Challenge blog - Turquoise, Red and Gold.   I used cardstock from our Paper Fundam...
