Perfect Pair - Sophia

Image
ooohhh!!! Such pretty paper!   Yes, once again, it's another favorite of mine.   Today's Perfect Pair is Sophia .   Check out this card I made using this paper pack and July's Stamp of the Month - Live Out Loud The phrase "SOAR" with the fluttering butterflies was perfect for this paper.  I added some additional butterflies that I cut with my Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.   I cut them at 1" and 3/4" and layered then added a Pearl adhesive gem.  Beautiful! Here are some more projects that I have created using the Sophia paper pack: Bird in a Cage Birthday Card - HERE 2 page layouts - HERE Thank You Card - HERE Thinking of You Card - HERE Girl's Birthday Card - HERE Sophia Perfect Pair - Available July 26-29 (or While Supplies Last) Sophia Paper Pack and Stickease (retail value:  $17.90) FREE with online purchase of $75

Mojo Monday #177 - Be Yourself

Image
Today is my oldest daughter's Birthday.   I still can't believe that she is 21!  Where did all the time go? She has grown into a beautiful young woman and I wanted to make a card for her that reflected the beauty that I see in her.  I didn't have to go far for a design because this week's Mojo Monday was a perfect design. The stamp I chose was Be Yourself.   I love this set of 8 stylish silhouette girls that reflect a carefree flare.   The phrases on this set - One of Kind, Be Yourself, Confident, Beautiful - all describe Kirsti. The rose highlighted by green sparkles represent Kirsti growing into a beautiful woman that lights up a room with her smile.   Happy Birthday dear daughter.    May you stay beautiful & confident because you are Truly One Of A Kind! H2H Challenge - Stamp Kissing

Image
This week's H2H Challenge was all about kissing!  Have you ever kissed a stamped? I have and its lots of fun!  I'm not talking about litterally kissing my stamps (although, there are some that are so cute - you almost want to when you get it!).  Over on the H2H Challenge blog there is a great video tutorial by Tresa Black on the different variations of stamp kissing.   I did the simple kiss which basically uses 2 colors of ink, a solid stamp and a stamp with a design on it. For my card I stamped the solid bird stamp in Goldrush ink and the  Heart stamp in Tulip ink. (I used this same Heart stamp for the heart on my card)  I set the Heart stamp ink side up on a solid surface and 'kissed' my bird stamp to it.   Almost like stamping the bird on top of the heart.   I then stamped my bird onto the white cardstock.  You can see where the Goldrush ink picked up the design of Tulip ink. Here is my completed card for the H2H Challenge: Recipe: C...

Mojo Monday #175 - Sophia

Image
I got a little behind posting last week.  My husband had to have surgery on Thursday and I've had family & friends calling and bringing food.   Now I've got several thank you cards to make!  I couldn't wait to see this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  I already knew that I would use this one as one of my thank you cards. For this week's sketch, they also asked us to use hat pins.  I still have a few left from last year when I purchased some for the Daydream Workshop kit that we did.  Here is the sketch:                              For my card, I used the new Sophia paper again.  Have I said how much I love this paper?  Maybe it is the bright cheery colors in contract to this dreary wintery weather we've had lately.   It will really cheer you up.   I also used the new Sweet Leaf ribbon around my circle - I just cinched it up by pulling the thread on one side....

One of the things on my TO DO list for today was to work on the Sophia Workshop on the Go.   This is the workshop project that my clubs will be doing in February.  I needed to finish it before we meet this month so they can see what they will be doing next.   The Sophia paper is sooo pretty!  When I saw today's Mojo Monday sketch, I knew I had to use the Sophia paper for it.     Here is the sketch for this week's Mojo Monday:   My card will give you a little sneak peek at the new Sophia paper that is coming in our 2011 Spring Summer Idea Book.
