I chose to feature two new thin cuts.  First, I chose the Budding Peony Stamp + Thin Cuts.  I stamped the flower in Charcoal Ink and then colored it with the Sugarplum Shimmer Brush.  The center of the peony was colored with the Gold Shimmer Brush.  The leaves were colored with the Sap Green ShinHan Touch Twin Marker.  The picture does not show the shimmer of the peony which is really pretty!  I layered the flowers on top of the Stitched Rectangle Frames of Linen and Ballerina Cardstock.  The lovely Feels Like Home Paper is used f...

Welcome to our Holiday Expressions New Product Blog Hop! We are showcasing many of the new products in our Holiday Expressions that was just released this month! I created this simple card using three NEW products.  First, I used the Snowflakes Embossing Folder to emboss onto the Crystal Blue Cardstock.    Next I cut snowflakes using the Thin Cuts-Snowflakes with White Glitter Paper.  My last new product I used is from the stamp set "Perfect Presents" .  I stamped the "let it snow" image with Crystal Blue Ink on a tag that I cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.   I tied off the tag with White Gold Twine. This month Close To My Heart will be featuring the Magical Paper.  You may already be seeing it popping up all over instagram, facebook and blogs.   The paper pack is so much fun and can be used in a variety of ways.   Last week I shared a mini book I created with a piece of paper from Magical. Today, I want to share some cards.   I created the three layouts from the Magical Workshop Your Way kit and had plenty of paper left over to create the cards that were also included in the instructions.  The cards shown in the guide use the Fairytale Birthday stamp and look like this: But I decided I wanted to use a different stamp set for my cards.  So I cut the papers exactly the same but changed up my stamp and used the Carnival Fun stamp and thin cuts! I also used the little M size stamp - Bitty Birthday (M1144).   I think they turned out quite cute!! The Magical Paper will be available through the end of August 31 but I wouldn't wait...

I created another card to add to my Card Buffet today.  This card features Charlotte paper and the Springtime Wishes stamp and thin cuts. Check out these adorable Easter Treat Containers! I couldn't resist using the Spring Critters stamp set along with the Penelope paper pack! I created some of these at Christmas where I didn't cover the entire container. If you missed that post, you can see it HERE . This time I wanted to wrap the label all the way around. Creating a 'label' cover for these containers was a bit tedious at first. Since the container has a tapered shape, the label needs to taper to fit it properly. After many tries of adjusting a cupcake wrapper in design space, I finally gave up and cut apart one of the containers and cut a template to scan into design space. This was my first attempt at scanning and uploading an image into Design Space. I have to say.... It was so easy!! Once I got my template created I was able to cut my labels with ease. I used my ShinHan Touch Twin Markers to color the chick and the rabbit and then cut them out with the coordinating Thin...
