July is a month full of birthdays for me.  I've been busy working on my upcoming Autumn Winter Open House but I have to take a break every now and then and create a birthday card.   My Father In Law's birthday is coming up soon.  He lives on the lake so I thought it would be fun to create a Nautical Birthday card! I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch and Close To My Heart's Tommy Paper (X7169B) .   I love the Canvas Compliments (X7169C) that go with the Tommy paper!  They make perfect accents for this card.  The flag border is from the Workshop On The Go Tommy stamp (G1058). The stamped sentiment is from Card Chatter - Birthday (D1475) . I almost forgot about this card I created the other night. I was looking through challenges this morning on the hunt for some inspiration and I came across the Deconstructed Sketch blog. The sketch was posted on Thursday and when I saw it, I thought it would be perfect for the our new Tommy paper.   It was about 9 pm when I finally got around to creating the idea I had in my head all day! Here is the sketch:                                      And my interpretation: This card could be used for someone graduating, moving, starting a new job or even someone retiring!  It was very fast and easy to create - no stamping at all on this card!  The sentiment "New Horizons" is from the zip strip from one of the B&T papers in the Tommy paper pack. Finally!  A sneak peek at the 7th new paper pack coming February 1!  I was waiting for just the right sketch and found one on Clean and Simple Stamping!  This 7th paper pack is Tommy (X7169B) .  It has a nautical theme with colors of Cranberry, Outdoor Denim, Honey and Desert Sand.  There are so many possibilities with this paper. Here is my card which shows four of the patters offered in this paper pack. The banners were created with the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge:  <Banner2>, <Banner3> and <Banner4>.  I cross-stitched each banner to the side bar with Cranberry Bakers Twine from the Harvest Assortment (Z1751) .  My sentiment and the pennant border are stamps from the Tommy Workshop on the Go exclusive stamp.  This stamp is only available with the Tommy WOTG kit (G1058) .   I added sparkles from the Clear Sparkles Assortment (Z1752) .
