Artfully Sent Blog Hop
Welcome to a special Blog Hop presented to you by the Stamp Of the Month Blog Hoppers! We are excited to be showcasing Close To My Heart's newest cricut cartridge - Artfully Sent. This cricut cartridge will be especially loved by card makers! Just like our other cricut collections, this cartridge also has over 700 images, includes 3 stamp sets and a 24 pack of White Daisy Cardstock!
If you came here from Krista Hershberger's blog you are on the right track! At the bottom of my post you will find the link to the next hopper. If you get lost along the way, you can find a complete list of hoppers HERE. If you came here first, don't worry! Just keep following the links on each blog and when you get back to me you are done! Let's get started!
I made these three cards using the "E" key on this cartridge along with Yuletide Carol B&T paper, Glacier and Desert Sand Cardstock. This key is great for creating "Thinking of You" cards! These are the cards that I will be teaching in my new Artfully Sent Cricut Class that is starting in January 2015. You can find more info about my class on the Artfully Sent tab on my blog.
Let's take a look at each card individually. First up - front and center - the Pocket Card card.
The Pocket Card key is not only great for creating pocket cards to add to your Picture My Life pages, but they also make easy card fronts! I used the 3" suggested measurement for this card adding strips of Glazier cardstock and Gold Shimmer trim behind the cut out letters. I layered this on a Colonial White card from my stash of Bulk Cards and Envelopes.
My next card was fun to create. I love this cute little bird cage and couldn't wait to cut it out!
These were cut using the 'Scene' key. I cut out the inside piece on Yuletide Carol B&T paper and again on Glacier cardstock. I used the bird from the Glacier Cardstock for the inside of my card. I stamped the sentiment "I'm thinking of you" on the inside of the card placed just right so that you only see it when you open the card! The stamp is one of many sentiments on the sentiment stamp set which is included in the Artfully Sent Cricut Collection.
And last.... you KNEW there would be a pop up card didn't you?
This is the front of the card. Again, I used the Pocket key to cut the piece in Desert Sand. I cut it at 6" but I trimed off 3/4" from each end so that it would fit horizontally on my card. Can you guess where the printed bird is from? It's from the inside piece I cut for the birdcage! Never let ANYTHING go to waste! Ready for the inside?
I cut the liner in Desert Sand Cardstock. The little blue bird is a cut out that shows the Glacier cardstock underneath. I added a strip of Yuletide B&T and Gold Shimmer Trim for accents.
I hope you enjoyed my cards! If you don't have the Artfully Sent Cricut Collection yet, I'm sure after you have gone through the hop, you will see that you can't live with out it!!
