An Artfully Sent Happy Father's Day!

Image
Father's Day is coming up and I wanted to share the Father's Day card I created for my dad.  I wanted to use something from the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge to save some time.   By the way.... did you know the Artfully Sent Cricut Collection (Z3168) is being retired?  If you don't have it, be sure to order it before it is gone for good! This card was so easy!  I used the Desert Sand Fundamental Cardstock so when the card is folded, the center shows the pattern side.    To cut the card - set your size to 7".  There is no need to change the dial size when you cut the mustaches.  They are linked to the card so leave your dial size at 7" and they will be cut to fit your card.   To cut use these keys:  Scene<Env-4> and Shift Scene <Liner-4>. I had a new stamp I wanted to use too so I created a space to use on the inside of the card.  This stamp is call Day For Dad (C1645) .  Isn't it cute?? ...

A Reason to SMILE

Image
Oh wow.....  It's been over a week since I've posted here!  It's has been a whirlwind of activity since I got home from Utah.  I'm afraid for the next year it is going to continue to be a whirlwind.  It looks like I'll be planning a wedding!! While in Cuba for a study abroad trip my youngest daughter got engaged! What a great memory this will always be for Kayli and John.   Certainly a trip to be remembered.   Several months ago, my very good friend and fellow consultant Jaime Llewellyn created a beautiful page that was perfect for displaying in Close To My Heart's Designed Decor Shadowbox frame.  I've been wanting to offer this as a Girls Night Out project for some time but it never seemed to be the right time.  Well - I think now this is the PERFECT time!  Jaime shared her design with me (she is so talented) and I changed the colors a bit. All of the cuts on this page are from the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge.  Yeah - it's tha...

2015 Christmas in the Book!

Image
Wow... I can't believe that I've almost finished recording this year's Christmas!  It's all thanks to Close To My Heart's White Pines Picture My Life Scrapbooking and their daily photo prompts!  I didn't actually place all the pictures I took with the daily cards but it sure gave me alot to scrapbook!   I won't share ALL my pages (you'd get bored with it) but I did take a few snapshots of some of the pages so you can see how it all came together. First - I FINALLY added a picture to this page we created at our Making Connections Event back in September.  This page incorporated the White Pines Paper along with the PML cards and White Pines Compliments. Here are some of the pages:   On the page above I added my own PML card - Christmas Cheer using the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge that has lots of pocket cards. Above, the "Hope" card was cut again with the Artfully Sent Cartridge but this time I used a regular card!  I ...

50th Birthday - Artfully Sent

Image
Today is my baby sister's 50th Birthday!  Guess that tells you at least how old I am!  This is the 2nd birthday card I made this past week. The first one I shared on Wednesday for another sister.  After I completed her card I was stumped as what to do for the other Birthday card.  Then I remembered that this was her big 5-0!  And guess what?!  The Artfully Sent cricut cartridge has a great Over the Hill card!  I pulled it into my Design Space and just started cutting.  It came together so quickly! I used Confetti Wishes paper and found some unused compliments from another project that I had done.  I used one large compliment for the front of the card and added some strips of Canary, Thistle and Crystal Blue cardstock here: Here is the "STAR" of this card - the inside!  I used a piece of Glitter paper from the Purple Glitter Paper (Z1992) (there are three shades) for the "50" and the banner.    The candles on th...

Image
Just in time for all the High School and College graduations that are just around the corner!  My next Artfully Sent class is all about Graduation Cards! In this class we will create these three cards: The first is a sentiment card.  I added some color using the Glitter paper from the Teal Glitter Paper collection. The 2nd card we will create is a swing card!  I added star paper from the Chalk It Up paper pack to help bring out the celebration!  I kept the card pretty simple but add some free-handed lines around the card with a journaling pen to give it a finished look. The last card is a pop-up card! If you are local to me and have the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge and your own Cricut Machine you can sign up for this class!   The class fee is just $10 and you get all the materials you will need to make the cards - including envelopes!  You just need to bring your Artfully Sent Cartridge and Cricut Machine and other basis supplie...
