Your Beautiful Self - An Easy Watercolor Card

Image
Only 2 days left to get the stamps from the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog!  I saw something similar a few weeks ago using a frame stamp with an image in the center of the frame.   I wanted to recreate it but I could not find the original card I had seen.  Here is my take on that card - from what I can remember seeing! First I painted a wash of pink watercolor paint onto the watercolor paper.  Once it was dry, I stamped a frame image to fill in all the space on the card.   The frame is from the Live, Laugh, Love stamp (C1636).  Next I stamped butterflies from the Your Beautiful Self stamp (B1516).  Both of these stamps and the silver butterflies from Playful Puffies (Z3205)  will retire after April 30!   Live, Laugh Love (C1636) Your Beautiful Self (B1516) Don't miss out on the stamps you love from Seasonal Expressions 1!   Order today before they are gone for good! A Reunion in Virginia

Image
Wall Art - Created by Jaime Llewellyn I just returned from my annual Spa Girls Reunion in Virginia.  This was our 3rd year to get together for a weekend of collaboration, creating and just pure fun and relaxation.   Close To My Heart brought us together 6 years ago and we have been getting together every year since that 1st wonderful weekend at the Spa Retreat we each won.  At first, our reunions were at a lunch during the Annual CTMH convention. We quickly realized that a lunch date at convention was definitely not enough time to catch up with everyone.  So, three years ago we planned our 1st weekend reunion at Jaime Llewellyn's house in Virginia.  Jaime has been the gracious hostess every year since.  When you have the perfect scrapbook work area - how can you NOT be the hostess! You can see we were quite spread out with our supplies!  We created the night away going to bed each night at 1:30 am.  It seemed like we always got a 2nd wind around 10 pm and no one was read

Kiss it Better

Image
Kiss It Better was one of the first stamps I put on my wish list when I got the Seasonal Expressions 1 book.  I can't believe that today is the first time I've used it!  I've been wanting to use it for a while but it seemed to get pushed down on my 'to do' list every time I got in my craft room.   I was really happy with how this turned out!   I used a mix of two different papers on this card.  Can you guess which ones?  The stripe is a piece from Penelope and the red with the little bows is from Regatta.  They compliment each other perfectly.  I cut the band aid image from Cashmere cardstock with the Artisty cricut cartridge and then I stamped it in Cashmere ink.  I used the masking technique to stamp the sentiment in Cashmere and Ruby.   The hemp twine ties it all together.   Kiss it Better - B1508 This stamp set along with Penelope and Regatta papers will retire at the end of April!  Order it before it is gone for good!    I'm so glad I have thi

This project would be a perfect gift for a graduating senior!  Fill it will their favorite photographs. My youngest daughter will be graduating college in May so I added some special photos of her and her best friends and her fiance'.  I still need to add a couple more pictures to complete it.  Below is a picture of 5 additional pages we will create.  Not shown are some added 4x6 journaling cards from the Love Your Selfie PML cards.  I punched holes into the card and added them to the rings.  She will be able write some of her favorite memories and most special moments on the added cards.   The last page of the album is slipped inside the acrylic back (see picture below).   You can see that the pages of the flip stand album are shorter so that "happiness is >>>>" will alwa
