June Stamp of the Month - It's Your Day to Sparkle

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring It's Your Day to Sparkle. A set of 29 stamps. It is great for birthdays, anniversarys, and weddings! This hop is a big circle. If you came from Miss Carrie's Creations Blog blog you are on the right track! If you started with me, you will know you finished the hop when you get back to my post! Look for the next blog to hop to at the bottom of my post

Here is the card I created.   I used the lace doily pattern paper from True Love as the background for my card and added a piece of 'marble' look pattern from our Mix In Pack.  I stamped the cake on a piece of vellum with versa mark ink and then heat embossed it in silver.   I layered this onto white daisy to give it a more opaque background.  I colored the flowers with my ShinHan markers and added Clear Shimmer Brush to the cake to give it sparkle.

Seasonal Expressions 2 Blog Hop!

Welcome to our Seasonal Expressions 2 New Product Blog Hop! Our newest catalog was just released on May 1 and there are so many AWESOME new products! Deciding what to feature for this blog hop was a tough choice! I can't wait to see what everyone has created! If you came from Haley Dyer's blog you are in the right spot! The hop is a big circle so when you get back to me, you will know that you completed the hop.

If you saw my Favorite Things list on my Facebook page you saw that I listed Where Happiness Bloom Stamp and Thin Cuts as my most favorite!  So, it was only fitting that I feature this on this new product blog hop!

This stamp is a base and shade stamp!  People will think you colored the flowers but you actually stamp the color into the outline!

For my card is also used the Rectangle Thin Cuts as the border around the card.  Before stamping the image, I used a wash of blue watercolor paint on the background.  After it dried, I stamped the watering can.  To get the brushed galvanized look for the can, I tapped the stamp onto the Charcoal ink pad a few times making sure I had good coverage.  Then I slid the stamp across the pad to give it that streaked look. Next, I stamped the flowers with Canary Ink and then the leaves in Willow.

Product List:
Where Happiness Blooms Stamp + Thin Cuts - Z4086
White Cards & Envelopes – X254
Craft On Paper – X7245B
Watercolor Paper – Z4243
White Daisy Cardstock – X6027

Raspberry Exclusive Ink – Z2812

This paper is just beautiful and will work for so many themes!  It's ONLY available during the month of May!  Be sure to check out all the different options for purchasing this special.

May Stamp of the Month - To My Bestie

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring To My Bestie.  A set of 19 stamps.  It includes 5 different sentiments!  The hop is a big circle.  If you came from Brandi Robinson's Blog blog you are on the right track!  If you started with me, you will know you finished the hop when you get back to my post!  Look for the next blog to hop to at the bottom of my post!

I went with soft colors of Heather, Mink and Ballerina for this card.  The paper is from Sweet Girl.  I envisioned the card with the hand holding the bunch of flowers outside of the frame.   So I cut White Daisy cardstock to fit inside the rectangle frame but longer on the bottom.   I stamped the image, colored with watercolor pencils and THEN I trim around the hand and cut across the bottom to fit inside the frame.   I stamped and colored the bunch of flowers, then trimmed and placed under her hand.  I added clear sparkles to finish the card.

Here are the products that I used on this card:
May Stamp of the Month - To My Bestie
White Cards and Envelopes Value Pack - X254
Sweet Girl Paper - X7246B
White Daisy Cardstock - X6027
Ballerina Cardstock - X5994
Stitched Rectangle Frames Thin Cuts - Z4260
Watercolor Pencils - Z4242
Heather Exclusive Ink - Z2826
Clear Sparkles - Z3274

This stamp is available only during the month of May!  Get it for $5 with a $50 purchase!
If you do not have a consultant, you can shop from my website: www.stampinheaven.ctmh.com

This is one of my favorite Stamp of the Month that we have had!  I love all the sentiments!  I can't wait to see what everyone else is creating with this stamp,  So let's hop over to Terry Metzger's Blog and see what she is sharing!

2019 Summer Virtual Cardmaking Class!

I'm SOOO excited to announce a NEW session of Virtual Cardmaking Classes for Summer 2019!
What is a Virtual Class? And why would YOU want to take it?
What do you get out of it?
I started doing the Virtual Class for several reasons.
Maybe one of these reasons applies you?
  1. The date and time of an actual workshop does not always work with everyone's schedule. Especially in the fall with school activities going on!
  2. I work full time - so can only do classes in the evening. For you.....Going to class while your kids are in school is easier or you don't like driving at night.
  3. I live in Murfreesboro, TN - you live several hours (or days) away!
  4. You like to be crafty at 2am.... I don't (I used to...my body just doesn't allow it anymore!)
  5. You've never created cards. If you are only a scrapbooker, creating cards can be intimidating! I KNOW! When I went to create my first card I was STUCK on where to start!!
  6. You are afraid to cut your paper. You might cut something wrong and you only have one chance to get it right! (Believe me - I've had this fear when I know I have ONE CHANCE to get it right!)
  7. You are not afraid of cutting your paper wrong - you just hate taking the time to cut it! Honestly, some people just do not enjoy cutting paper!
This is a 4 month class. The price of the basic kit each month will always be $30. You will have the option to add 1-4 ink pads at $10 each (ALWAYS OPTIONAL).
The kits are our awesome Workshop Your Way Cardmaking Kits but what makes these kits different is I will order and PRE-CUT the materials for you! When your kit arrives in the mail from me, you will have everything that comes in the original kit PLUS your leftover scraps (you can create more cards!) and the pieces for each card will be sorted into marked envelopes! Now all you have to do is stamp and assemble! *See my note at the end of this post if you prefer to cut your own papers!

As a BONUS, at the end of the summer session, I will send you pre-cut materials to create 4 EXTRA cards using our fabulous Mix In papers with the stamps you already have!
What do these kits include: (See photo below for a recent kit that was shipped)
1. 12 Cards & Envelopes
2. SORTED Pre-Cut Papers plus scraps
3. Embellishments
4. Exclusive Stamp set
5. Printed Instruction Guide

When you join my summer session of classes, you will be sent a link to join a FACEBOOK GROUP CLASSROOM. Between the 15th-20th of the month (I will post a definite date in the 1st week) I will post a Facebook LIVE video in the private classroom group showing how to create each card - walking you through each step start to finish. You can follow along with me LIVE or watch when it is convenient for you! Have a question? Ask away! Share you creations!
ATTENDING CLASS OFFERS A BONUS: In addition to the cards we create in the kit, I share 2 additional cards I created using the same pre-cut pieces in different ways to create a 2nd look! These extra cards aren't shared anywhere else - so attending class is the only way you'll see them! I'll give you stamping tips along the way.
The $30 includes ALL of your kit materials including the stamp set and guide, and priority mail shipping to you! I am NOT including the cost of shipping the kit to me first. Each additional ink added will be $10.00. All payments for the class are through Paypal.
Our first Class will be You're Awesome - Perfect for Graduations!
Ink colors needed to create these cards are:
Heather, Mink, New England Ivy and Sapphire
Block sizes needed: 3 x 3, 1 x 3 1/2; 1x1

Sign up BEFORE May 5 and I will mail you a NEW 2019 Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog!

Email me at gmbscrapper@comcast.net to sign up.
Please specify if you wish to add any additional inks and which colors.
I will send you a paypal invoice.

Do you want to order your kit and cut your own papers?
I will set up a link on my website - "Virtual Cardmaking Class". You can order your kit and any other additional items you want by joining that link! (Note you will need to select regular shipping and NOT Smart Post in order to receive your kit on time!)
If I have class members that order their kits to cut themselves, I will post a video of cutting the papers that you can follow along.
By joining the party link to order your kit, I will know that you need to be added to the classroom and this will also include you in my bonus at the end of the session.

Zoe Returns in Bring Back My Pack!

Today we are featuring the Zoe Paper in this special Blog Hop.  Zoe was a popular paper introduced in 2015.  Close To My Heart has brought it back with updated colors.  If you came from Miss Carrie's Creations blog you are on the right track.  This hop is a big circle.  If you have just started, look for the link to next blog at the end of each post.  When you get back to me, you will know you have completed the hop!

I was so excited when CTMH announced that they were bringing back Zoe.  This paper was one of my ABSOLUTE favorites!  Now the paper pack comes with a 12x12 sticker sheet!  How exciting is that?!   Close To My Heart also created a new workshop guide with this paper.  But I wanted to create something a little different.  I couldn't wait to work with.   I created this layout after I had spent a long weekend working in my yard pulling weeds and prepping for new spring flowers.  So I guess I had spring and flowers on my mind.   I turned to my Flower Market Cricut Cartridge for some fun images that I added to go along with the stickers.

I've created a fun three page workshop for this paper that uses both the Artistry and Flower Market cartridges.  When you purchase the workshop bundle from me I will send you the cutting guide for free!

PRODUCTS USED:
Zoe Paper Pack
Zoe Coordinating Cardstock
White Daisy Cardstock
Flower Market Cricut Cartridge

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Love So Sweet

Welcome to the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Love So Sweet. If you have come here from Michelle Loncar's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.

I wanted to use a some of my Celebration Mix In paper so first I chose the Sapphire pattern.  Then I turned to my How To Book to see what colors would look good with Sapphire.  Raspberry, Saffron and Fern were suggested so this was just perfect for my flowers and butterfly!

The grey/white plaid pattern piece is from the Feels Like Home paper pack.  To give my plain rectangle shape some interest, I used the scallop border thin cut on one side.  I used a round tag from the Fancy Tags thin cut set as my 'landing' point for the flowers stamping the greenery in Fern ink and also a small butterfly in Saffron ink directly onto the tag.

Creating a multi-color butterfly is easy!  Here is how I did it.   Using a sponge dauber, I rubbed Saffron ink onto a piece of white daisy cardstock.  Then I rubbed Goldrush onto both sides of the saffron.  Next, I stamped the butterfly in black ink.  You can see that the tips of the wings picked up the Goldrush color while the saffron color shows mostly in the middle.  Try this technique out with other colors.   It really makes some beautiful butterflies!

Remember! This stamp only available during the month of April!

New Summer Virtual Classes coming soon!

One great thing about being a CTMH consultant is our early 1 month preview to the new catalog!  I received my new catalog at the Seasonal Expressions 2 Launch I hosted (another perk) and all I can say right now is WOW!!!  So many great papers, stamps and more!

Here's a peek at the cover of this new catalog!

I immediately loved all four of the new Cardmaking Workshop Your Way kits!  I loved them so much that I wanted to do another Summer Virtual Card Class!   I've done 2 other sessions of virtual cardmaking classes and they were so much fun!  If you did not participate, here is how my virtual class works.  (This year I'm adding a 2nd option)

Option 1 - Pre-Cut Option.  Place your order for the class kit with me.  I'll submit the order, it will ship to me. I'll pre-cut the kit and ship to you! The cost of this option is $30.  This includes shipping to you priority mail.  Everything you need is in the kit except for ink pads.  Many times attendees already have the colors of ink they need.  I will send a list of ink colors needed and you will be able to add ink pads to your order if you want for an additional cost.   I ship out the kits so that everyone has received theirs by the 15th-20th of the month.

Option 2 - Order On Your Own Option.   This option is new.  There might be a few ladies out there that WANT to cut their own paper.  This gives you a little more creative options when you complete your cards.  I will have a Class Party Link posted.  Those ordering the kits on their own will need to join that link and purchase their kits on my website no later than the 5th of the month.  (This will be the close date of the party).  This should ensure that everyone receives their kit by the 15th.   You will have the ability to add other items to your order.  Your kit ships directly to you from Close To My Heart.

ALL kits will include supplies to create 12 cards (6 each of 2 designs) including an exclusive stamp set, 12 cards & envelopes and instruction guide.  Additional supplies needed: Ink, blocks, scissors, and adhesive.   I will post a list of inks needed before placing the order so you can add any additional inks if needed.

There will be a private closed classroom set up on Facebook.  I will post two videos each month for the class.  The 1st video will be cutting the paper.  Those cutting their own papers can cut along with me or they can use the included guide.  The 2nd video will the creative video.  Watch and work along me as I show you how to create the cards, pointing out tips and techniques along the way.  The videos stay up so you will have access to them any time you want - even after the session is over!

As a special bonus - I will create two extra cards using the same pre-cut pieces to show you different options for the cards not shown in the guide!  You will see these shared ONLY in this classroom!  I provide complete instructions for the extra cards that you can use to create your own!

BUT WAIT!!  There is an EXTRA SPECIAL BONUS!  Everyone that participates in my Summer Session of Classes (May, June, July and August) will receive a special card kit from me for FREE!!  I will send you a pre-cut kit for 4 exclusive cards created with the the Mix In papers!

So - are you in?  I will be sending out the first class information by April 29th.

Love Blossoms Blog Hop

Welcome to our Love Blossoms Blog Hop! This special hop features our exclusive stamp - Love Blossoms! This is a set of TWO stamps! If you came from Michelle Loncar's Blog you are on the right track! If you are just starting the hop, it is a big circle so when you get back to me, you will know you finished the hop! You will find the next blog to hop to at the bottom of my post!

Although you can purchase this stamp set as part of a workshop kit, (instructions for the cards shown above can be downloaded from my website), you can purchase JUST the stamp set!  It has lovely sentiments and the flowers stamp beautifully!  So I think it is a must have for your stamp inventory!  I've created a few cards with this stamp but I created one that I wanted to feature specifically in this hop because it is a little different from the other I created.

I cut a 4 x 5 1/2 piece of White Daisy Cardstock and then stamped the flowers in Charcoal around the edges making sure to leave space in the center.  I used the 'watercolor' flower with Ballerina ink and stamped the flowers and then used Fern ink and my watercolor brush to paint the leaves.   Although it does not show up in the picture, I used the Clear Shimmer Brush to brush over all of the flowers to give them some shimmer.

Next I cut out the 'white space' in center.   I stamped "my heart" right onto the front of the card base and then used foam tape to pop up the flowers on the card.   I used silver glitter gems and the silver embellishing thread for accents.

PRODUCTS USED:
Love Blossoms Stamp - CC2199 (Available through March 31)
White Card and Envelopes Value Pack - X254

Thin Cuts Blog Hop

Welcome to our Thin Cuts Blog Hop!  This hop features our newest Thin Cuts that are available in the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog!  If you came from Wendy Kessler's Blog you are on the right track!  If you are just starting the hop, it is a big circle so when you get back to me, you will know you finished the hop!  You will find the next blog to hop to at the bottom of my post!

I chose to feature two new thin cuts.  First, I chose the Budding Peony Stamp + Thin Cuts.  I stamped the flower in Charcoal Ink and then colored it with the Sugarplum Shimmer Brush.  The center of the peony was colored with the Gold Shimmer Brush.  The leaves were colored with the Sap Green ShinHan Touch Twin Marker.  The picture does not show the shimmer of the peony which is really pretty!  I layered the flowers on top of the Stitched Rectangle Frames of Linen and Ballerina Cardstock.  The lovely Feels Like Home Paper is used for the base of this card.   I added Gold Glitter Gems for added sparkle.

February Stamp of the Month - Heartfelt Sentiments

Welcome to the February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Heartfelt Sentiments.  If you have come here from Haley Dyer's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.

I felt like most people would think this stamp belongs on a scrapbook page because it is so big but I wanted to show that you can use it on a card too!  My card really is pretty simple!  If you love to color, then you will love this set!

I stamped the large image two times with Charcoal ink. First, onto a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 white cardstock and then onto a scrap piece of cardstock.  Because I used ShinHan Touch Twin markers, I did not stamp the image directly onto the card to color.  The markers do bleed through to the other side. After coloring the flowers and leaves, I tied some Silver Embellishing thread around the card. On the stamped scrap piece, I colored the word outlines for Heart Happy and then trimmed closely around the edge.  I popped this piece up with 3D thick foam dots and adhered directly over the the words on the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 stamped piece. I used the little dots stamp to fill in all the 'white space' around the flowers.  Finally, I added a few sparkles for a finishing touch!

Products Used:
February Stamp of the Month - Heartful Sentiments
White Daisy Cardstock
ShinHan Touch Twin Markers:
Tender Pink (Z2464), Cherry Pink (Z2450),
Sap Green (Z2463), Leaf Green (Z2454),
Marigold (Z2457), Golden Yellow (Z2452)
Charcoal Ink
Clear Sparkles
Silver Embellishment Thread

You can get this beautiful stamp THIS MONTH ONLY!!  Purchase it for full price,
or for the BEST deal, spend $50 and you will get it for just $5!
Contact your consultant or if you do not have one, you can shop on my website!
