Picture My Life in a Display Tray

Today I want share a wedding gift that I created for my nephew and his wife.   I wanted to create something very special for them so what better way to give them a remembrance of their big day than something they can display!

I just love it when I get a chance to create with Close To My Heart's Display Trays and when using our Picture My Life Cards, it just doesn't get any better!   I chose to use the For Always Picture My Life Cards for the tray.

I chose to print the pictures in black and white and only use accents of color which were the same colors they had in their wedding.   I was able to keep my nephew's tie the true color by using picmonkey.com.   It's a free and easy to use photo editing site.  The hardest thing about putting together this tray was choosing WHICH cards to use!  They are all great!  I had so much fun cutting apart cards and putting them with other cards.   Here are few close up shots and what I did:

For the main focus, I chose this beautiful shot of the bride and groom for one of the 4x6 cards. I mounted the card onto a piece of chipboard for more stability in mounting to front of the tray. Since you get 2 of each design of the 4x6 cards, I cut the vine out of the other card and mounted it with foam tape to give this some dimension.  My flower accents are all retired CTMH embellishments that I had been hoarding in my stash.  They turned out to be perfect colors!

For this next picture, I used two different 3 x 4 cards to layer and then used foam tape to pop up the picture even more.  I love the swirling butterfly across the picture.  The paper butterfly was another stash I had but it was a white butterfly.  I used my Light Orange ShinHan Touch Twin marker to add color to the butterfly.  Since it is just a bit bright, I was about to tone it down with the ShinHan Touch Twin Colorless Blender Marker.

I thought this next picture was just adorable and it HAD to be included it in the tray.  My nephew was a baseball player and spent several years in Phillies organization. They met while he was playing ball.  Both Jeremy and Sarah have a strong Christian faith so she had both of these on the bottom of her wedding shoes.  The phrase "This Made Me Smile" was perfect.  I cut it from one of the 3x4 cards and mounted it on top of the picture.

The card beside this picture is made up of two 4x6 cards.  The first card I cut in half to use in together in the two spaces.  "Dream do come true" was on another 4x6 card and I cut out the shape and then cut it in half to put inside the frame of the base card.   You will notice that I used another 4x6 card cut in half in the top section of the tray.

I was very happy with how this turned out and I think they loved it.  The next time you need to give a gift - make it special and use Close To My Heart's Display Tray with Picture My Lift cards!  There are so many to choose from!
