Core Catalog New Product Blog Hop
Welcome to our New Product Blog Hop!! On September 1, Close To My Heart released their new ANNUAL CORE Catalog which will be good all the way through August 31, 2021!! This Core Catalog is FULL of fun exciting new products.... more stamps, paper packs, MANY thin cuts and LOTS of new multi-media products. This hop will give you a great opportunity to see what some of our favorite products are how we are using them! If you came from Darlys Recker's Blog, you are on the right track!! Look for the next blog to hop to at the bottom of this post. This hop is a big circle, so when you get back to me, you will know you completed the hop! If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog. Let's get started!
With so many new products, it was hard to choose what to share here! I finally decided to share a card that uses MANY of our new items including some of our new mixed media products!
I used the big flower stencil from our Stencil Pack 1 with our new Distress Oxide Ink. The colors of Distress Oxide Inks I chose were Seedless Preserves and Candied Apple. I started adding color with the Seedless Preserves first and then blended in the Candied Apple. Candied Apple is a very bright red but when blended into the Seedless Preserves it really tones down the color. After I was finished adding and blending the colors I spritzed it with water to activate the ink. You can see the watermarking on the larger petals.
I layered the floral piece onto Cinnamon cardstock and then used the same cardstock color for my thin cuts alternating sides between light and dark for two different colors. The sentiment is stamped with our new Operation Smile Stamp set - "Every Bit of Wonderful". I love the new little Black Bursts!
Here is a list of all of the Products I used on this card.
