I've been super busy this last week as I'm sure you all are too.   I wanted to make a quick card using the sketch from Retro Sketch before it was too late!  So here is my really quick card I created with mostly washi tape! The stamp is from the Holiday Tags Set (D1560) Retro Sketch #95 I'm also entering this into the Heart 2 Heart Sparkle & Shine Challenge . MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!

Each month, Close To My Heart provides a fun download that you can use to create something with. I always look forward to the 1st of each month and can't wait to see what little goodie is waiting for me to download.   This month it is a sheet full of colorful tags!  You can either print them out for some VERY QUICK and easy tags for your gifts, or you can use them in other ways.  I decided to use them on some quick cards I wanted to create. Here are a couple of cards I created using one of these tags I used Sky and Cranberry Cardstock for this card.  Look closely and you can see where I used tone on tone stamping with snowflakes on the Cranberry cardstock.   I added a sparkle flourish and red bow (retired cranberry ribbon and I was done!  I used Sketch #270 from Clean and Simple Stamping for this card.   This one was very quick! I combined challenges to make this card today using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the Technique Challenge from Just Us Girls . I think it is quite a busy card myself but I still kind of like it.   I used Ruby and Topiary Inks for Merry Christmas.   The stamp is from Holiday Tags which also includes 4 frames - one I used here. The frames in this stamp set all coordinate with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge . Chevrons are everywhere these days.  I took a break from Christmas Cards on Sunday to create this Birthday card full of chevrons when I saw the sketch from Friday Mashup .  I chose to go mostly black and white with just a splash of aqua dots on my card.  I used a variety of stamps on my card: Holiday Tags (D1560) for the Happy Birthday.  The frame was cut with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge. Ready for another sneak peek?  Today I'm sharing a card I created with the new Frosted Paper pack (X7175B) . For this card I used Pattern #29 from the new Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 (9042) .   The stamp is Classy Doily (B1424) .  This stamp coordinates with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge (Z790)  for perfect stamping and no fussy cutting!  I stamped the image three times cutting portions of the doily out so that I could layer them.  I used Sky and Indian Corn Blue Alcohol markers to color the snowflake.   Blush  adds just a bit of color to the top star.  For extra shimmer I added Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1313) .   "Merry Christmas" is from the set Holiday Tags (D1560) You can see this card and more at my Open House on Saturday, August 10 from 9am - 1pm! Here is another sneak peek at the new Sarita (X7171B) paper pack!  I loved this paper the minute I laid eyes on it in the new Autumn Winter Idea Book.   I can't wait to create more with it!  The design of this card is from Pattern #23 in the NEW Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 Book (9042) .  This is another great pattern book by Jeanette Lynton.  A must have for every scrapbooker/cardmaker! I used SEVERAL new products on this card! I especially love the Sarita Assortments (Z1873) .  The assortment contains 10 etched wooden shapes and 4 metal icons - all adhesive backed.  I used one of the metal icons up in the right hand corner on top of my Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape (Z1850 ) which is also new!  Check out the Jute Ribbon (Z1867) .  Just when I thought I couldn't get enough Burlap, now I've got Jute ribbon to play with!  And finally, my last new product is the stamp!  This cute little stamp is called Holiday Tags (D1560)....
