Pillow Boxes are a cute and VERY EASY way to give a Christmas gift this year!  Close to My Heart's My Creations Pillow Boxes are clear and measure 6" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/2".  You get 3 pillow boxes for just $2.95.  The perfect size for hiding a gift card, jewelry, or other small gifts.  They are even food-safe!  So fill it up with homemade goodies!   I decorated my pillow boxes in just a snap with Washi tape. Christmas Tree Washi Pillow Box This one was really easy.   I used the Party Washi Tape and Sparkle & Shine Washi Tape 3 packs. The Party Washi 3-pack comes with a wood grain washi design which I used for my tree.  I used the honey washi in this same pack to cover my dimensional element star.  The juniper and ruby washi tapes from the Sparkle and Shine 3-pack make up my tree. Then I added some bling for ornaments.  My final touch was to add a tag I created using the Perfect Fit-Christmas stamp set. Santa P...

Celebrate the Season

Many of my favorite Challenges come out on Wednesday through Saturday which means by Saturday when I have more time to spend in my scraproom, I have lots of inspiration to take in there with me!   Over Saturday and Sunday I created several cards using sketches from various challenges.  I'll be sharing those throughout this week. First up is a sketch I used from Freshly Made Sketches .   This was fun, easy and simple!   It's a card that would be easy to mass produce if you are making alot of cards. I used the stripe paper from the Sparkle & Shine paper pack   (X7176B) matting it onto Ruby cardstock squares.  My sentiment is actually from the zip strip from one of the papers in the Sparkle & Shine pack.  I matted this onto Ruby cardstock also.   I covered the dimensional element star with silver washi tape from the Sparkle & Shine Washi Tape 3-pack (Z1907) .  (I LOVE doing this!)   My final touch was a button ti...

More Washi Fun

Image
Here is another fun Washi Tape card to share with you today!   I think I'm getting addicted to Washi Tape.  I love finding creative ways to use it other than just sticking it to a card.   Can you see where I got creative? I applied the washi tape to some dimensional element stars covering them completely.  On this card I tried to blend them in by matching them to the strips of washi on the card.  After I completed the card, I starting thinking about covering larger dimensional elements with the washi tape.   That will be my next project! Recipe: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 White Daisy Card (X254) Chocolate Cardstock (X5643) Party Washi Tape 3-Pack (Z1908) Dimensional Element Stars (Z1680) Heartfelt Birthday Wish (M1033) Chocolate Ink (Z2111) Cotton Candy Alcohol Markers (Z2417) The Party Washi Tape is available for a limited time only -until December 31 or while supplies last.  This 3 pack of washi tape has 15 yards on each roll...

Just a quick stop in to post this fun card I created.   Washi Tape is so much fun!   I created this really quick card using mostly washi tape in my design and the fun M-size Santa's Greeting stamp.     Recipe: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 White Daisy Card - Value Pack - X1410 Ruby Cardstock (X5927) White Daisy Cardstock (1385) Sparkle & Shine Washi Tape Collection (Z1907) Santa's Greeting (M1028) Ruby Alcohol Maker (Z2429) Black Ink (Z2105) Cranberry Baker's Twin - Harvest Assortment (Z1751) I love the Sparkle & Shine Washi Tape!  With 15 yards per rolls - that's right 15 yards PER ROLL! you can crank out alot of cards in just minutes!  Add Santa's Greeting and you're done! A Sneak Peek - It's a Celebration!

Image
I believe this is probably one of the quickest cards I have ever made and it's so simple!  I used two new products that will be available October 15 in Close to My Heart's Holiday Gift Guide and the sketch from Unscripted Sketches . The three strips of washi tape are from the Party Washi Tape 3 pack (Z1908) .  I love these colors and the especially the woodgrain washi!  My stamp is from Banner Wishes (B1438) .   It contains the banner seen above and 6 sentiments - It's a Celebration, Best Wishes, Thank You, Happy Birthday, You're The Best and Congratulations.   All are different fonts and they all fit on the banner! Watch my website for the Holiday Gift Guide coming October 15! Unscripted Sketches #225

A Quick Hello

Image
Have you ever come upon a sketch that you just HAD to do?  Every day I check lots of sketch challenges and I like most that I see.  But occasionally, I come across one that becomes a MUST DO before the week is out no matter how busy I am.   I've had a very busy week last week with two Hostess Clubs meeting, a workshop on Sunday and getting various post ready for upcoming blog hops. On Sunday I saw the sketch for Paper Players challenge and I just couldn't quit thinking about what I wanted to do with it!  I have so many other things I need to be doing, like doing the wash and prepping for an upcoming trip, getting ready for my other two Hostess Clubs that meet this week, but I stopped everything for about 30 minutes last night to create a card for the Paper Players sketch. This is a very easy and simple card and probably total time to put together took about 10 minutes.  It was hem-hawing around about WHICH stamp to use and WHAT color to stamp that took the ...

Sneak Peek - Sarita

Image
Here is another sneak peek at the new Sarita (X7171B) paper pack!  I loved this paper the minute I laid eyes on it in the new Autumn Winter Idea Book.   I can't wait to create more with it!  The design of this card is from Pattern #23 in the NEW Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 Book (9042) .  This is another great pattern book by Jeanette Lynton.  A must have for every scrapbooker/cardmaker! I used SEVERAL new products on this card! I especially love the Sarita Assortments (Z1873) .  The assortment contains 10 etched wooden shapes and 4 metal icons - all adhesive backed.  I used one of the metal icons up in the right hand corner on top of my Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape (Z1850 ) which is also new!  Check out the Jute Ribbon (Z1867) .  Just when I thought I couldn't get enough Burlap, now I've got Jute ribbon to play with!  And finally, my last new product is the stamp!  This cute little stamp is called Holiday Tags (D1560)....
