Operation Smile - Happy Everything Blog Hop


Hello!  Welcome to our special Blog Hop featuring the exclusive stamp set that benefits Operation Smile - Happy Everything.   Close To My Heart has partnered with Operation Smile an organization that provides free, life-changing surgery that repairs smiles and reshapes lives, one child at a time. Since 2008, Close To My Heart has provided support to change the lives of over 1,500 children and their families.  Although Close To My Heart already donates a portion of EACH My Acrylix stamp set that is sold, they will donate $3 for EACH Happy Everything that is sold!

The Honeycomb Embossing Folder (Z1995) is the perfect compliment for this stamp set.  I stamped the bee directly on the card base and then again on a piece of scrap cardstock.  After coloring the bee's body, I cut it out and adhered it on top of the stamped bee.  I used the black twine from the Neutral Metallic Assortment (Z1921) and a few Black epoxy bubbles (Z1935) to finish off the card.

How can you help support Operation Smile through Close To My Heart?  There are three ways:
1.  Purchase the Happy Everything stamp.  Close To My Heart will donate $3 for each Happy Everything stamp set sold!  This stamp is only available to purchase through August 31!
2.  When you purchase ANY My Acrylix stamp set, a portion of each stamp is donated to Operation Smile.
3.  Round Up!  Any time you make a purchase with Close To My Heart you can 'round up' your total to the nearest dollar!  This 'round up' amount will be donated to Operation Smile.

Now, I want to share with a cute way to make a gift card holder!  I used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge to make this holder.  It was very simple!  The Cricut cuts the card and it folds so that you can slip a gift card inside! I set the cricut to cut at 5".  I recycled an old gift card so my card is a little thick. This size worked well.   If inserting a regular card you can use 4 3/4" measurement.  "Merry Christmas" is also cut using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I set the measurement to 2".               To re
