My Dream Vacation!

Image
Aloha!  If you missed seeing my post lately it is because I've been gone!  I had 2 scheduled posts while I was gone but since I've been back, I've been trying to get back in the groove of my regular work routine.  It's been so hard!  I've had alot to catch up on, so getting to post about my trip has been put on the back burner.  But finally - here it is!   In case you had not heard.... I earned Close To My Heart's Incentive trip to Hawaii!   This has been a dream trip for my husband and I for a long time.  This year our dream came true!   We stayed at the Disney Aulani Resort which was awesome. The weather was gorgeous all week although at times a little windy.  But I will take 80 degrees and windy any day over 20 degrees or below and windy!! I've got tons of pictures.  I will need to choose my favorites to add to my pages that I have already completed.   CTMH sent us 10 gorgeous pre-cut layouts that we would create ...

Little Monster Shares an "I Love You"

Image
The other night when I was creating some easy Valentine Cards with the stamp set "Love Ya Silly" I kept looking at the one little monster I had stamped.  I kept picturing him holding something and suddenly a light bulb went off! There was still one little stamp I had not used and it was perfect! So I quickly put together this 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 card.  I stamped the "I heart you" and cut it out.  After stamping the little monster, I added the heart to an adhesive springs to give it some bounce and attached it to the little guys hand.   I think it turned out quite cute.  :) Products Used: White Daisy Cardstock - 1385 Cranberry Cardstock - 1272 Lagoon Cardstock - X5762 Lagoon Exclusive Ink - Z2195 Love Ya Silly - B1470 Red Shimmer Trim - Z1848 Lagoon Hearts Washi Tape - Z2004 Stuck on You Puffies - Z3037 Black and Grey Epoxy Bubbles - Z1935 Adhesive Springs - Z1725

Happy Birthday!

Image
Today is my oldest daughter's birthday!  My my my how time sure flies!  I can't believe that she is now a beautiful young woman.  This is the first time EVER that I have not been with her on her birthday.   An AMAZING opportunity came up for me and my husband to take our very first trip to Hawaii thanks to Close to My Heart!    We did celebrate an early birthday with her before we left.  I am sure she is getting alot more wishes today from her friends and family.  She might as well drag it out and take advantage of the all the Birthday Wishes because it only happens once a year! Everything was sneaking up on me so quickly and I realized that I needed to get her card made early! I wanted the card to be a little more sophisticated this time so I chose to go with a black and white theme with flowers.  I used my new vine embossing folder for the background.  I stamped the flowers with the Pretty Petals (C1599)  stamp set.  This s...
