May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Live Laugh Love

Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Live, Love, Laugh. This set has 9 stamps. If you have come here from Tracey Pierce's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.

If you love stamping and coloring, this stamp is right up your alley! I know that coloring is all the rage right now but I just don't have the patience (or time) for all the detailed coloring.  I LOVE these words and the stamps are so pretty but I didn't want to color them! That is why I wanted to show how this stamp can be used in a NON-coloring way.

For this one-page layout I used watercolor paper for my base page layered on top of Thistle cardstock. I painted swashes of color across the page for each word. I mixed my watercolor paints to get colors close to Glacier, Lagoon and Thistle. After letting the watercolor paints dry, I then stamped each word right on top.

I also painted these same colors on another piece of watercolor paper and stamped the flowers and then cut them out.

I didn't quite like the way the small flower looked looked when I cut it out so I decided to stamp these directly on the page randomly to look like they were blowing in the wind.  Then I attached the other watercolored flowers around the words and matted picture.

I chose these colors because I loved the colors in our new Little Dreamer (X7219B) paper pack.  I added a small flowery piece of that paper beside my matted picture.  I also added Little Dreamer Glitter Gems (Z3321) to the flowers and randomly around the page. This was a fun layout to do.  I hope you like it!

Remember! This stamp is available ONLY during the month of May!
