This week at Heart 2 Heart the challenge is titled The Spice of Life.   I decided to create a card that reminded me of spicy colors.  I used Cocoa, Ruby, Honey and Autumn Terracotta for my colors on this card.  I used two different embossing folders - Chevron and Stripes and had the stripes going in different directions to make it interesting. Wow.... my blogging has been a little lagging lately.  I haven't spent much time in my craft room lately - mainly due to 2 reasons..  1) Lack of mojo... 2) I've been spending more time at the gym!  Maybe reason #2 is the REASON for #1.   I set a weight goal to reach by June (actually by our next Close To My Heart Convention) and so that it isn't overwhelming, I set a MONTHLY goal. I'm happy to say, I'm on track to reach my goal for March.  When I get home I have all good intentions for getting some craft on but by the time I've showered and grabbed a bite of HEALTHY dinner, I seem to have trouble finding my mojo! Well, this weekend I was inspired by some exciting new from my sister. My nephew, a senior at Louisville Ballard HS won several rewards for a Science Fair project he's been working on for quite some time.  He told us all about his project when they were here at Thanksgiving.   His project involves the use of Virtual Reality to train the mind...

It feels nice to get back in the crafting groove and nothing is more inspiring to see a sketch that I can't wait to try out.   That's what happened yesterday when I saw the sketch over at Seize the Sketch.  Anything with banners will inspire me. I needed to create a card for a baby shower and this was perfect. For this 5x7 card, I used the colors of Outdoor Denim, Sky and Whisper . You can see a sneak peek of some fun new cardstock coming in February! It's the Whisper (grey) cardstock with an embossed design on it. This Whisper color is one of the 10 colors in the new Paper Fundamental Basic Assortment  pack.  Each color has a different glossy resist design on one side and the other side is the same design in white.  I was looking for something with just a little more texture than plan cardstock and remembered I had this new pack!  I know that I'm going to just love this new Paper Fundamentals pack!
