B is For Baby
It feels nice to get back in the crafting groove and nothing is more inspiring to see a sketch that I can't wait to try out. That's what happened yesterday when I saw the sketch over at Seize the Sketch. Anything with banners will inspire me.
I needed to create a card for a baby shower and this was perfect.
For this 5x7 card, I used the colors of Outdoor Denim, Sky and Whisper. You can see a sneak peek of some fun new cardstock coming in February! It's the Whisper (grey) cardstock with an embossed design on it. This Whisper color is one of the 10 colors in the new Paper Fundamental Basic Assortment pack. Each color has a different glossy resist design on one side and the other side is the same design in white. I was looking for something with just a little more texture than plan cardstock and remembered I had this new pack! I know that I'm going to just love this new Paper Fundamentals pack!

The little banners are from the stamp set All The Details (D1555). The other stamps are from B is For Baby (D1561). Both sets coordinates with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, except the rocking horse and rattle I cut by hand. I stamped both with Outdoor Denim ink and then colored them with my Outdoor Denim, Sky and Whisper Alcohol Markers. Fussy cutting was tedious but I think it really added to the card! I gave the little rocking horse a cute bow of Outdoor Denim Baker's twine which was also used for my banners.
I don't make baby cards too often so this was nice little change and fun card to create!
Here is the Seize the Sketch challenge I used:
