MORE - My Word for 2014
Last year I had a word when I didn't even realize that having a word was the 'in' thing to do. It was INSPIRE. I even bought an necklace tag to wear to remind myself that I wanted to Inspire.
New Year's Day comes around and I suddenly noticed that there was all this talk about having a 'word' instead of making New Year's Resolutions. Maybe I'm a little behind the times on things or maybe I was just too busy trying to INSPIRE that I didn't notice this cool new trend taking place.
I've spent the last couple of weeks trying to figure out what my word for 2014 should be! I didn't feel like I could reuse my word from last year. That would be cheating wouldn't it? So, now that I feel like I should follow trend and come up with a word, I've had the hardest time! I sat down and made a list of the things I wanted to accomplish for 2014. Here is a snippet of some of the things I listed:
For my business I want to:
1. Offer more workshops
2. Learn more techniques to show
3. Increase my sales by gaining more customers
4. Build my team by adding more members
For my personal life I want to:
1. Spend more time in personal devotion with God
2. Spend more time in prayer
3. Call my dear Grandma more often
4. Eat more nutritional healthy foods.
I looked back over the list and one word seemed to stand out. "MORE" But, I kept thinking surely I could come up with something better than that! I wanted a pretty word. A word I could do something fun with. A word that didn't sound so greedy! In this day and time it's all about LESS isn't it? But MORE has prevailed. This will be my word this year. I made it pretty for me.
