July is a month full of birthday's in my family - two of my sisters have birthdays!  With convention earlier this month and then a frenzy of planning once I got home, these birthdays about slipped away before I realized it!  I had to put away my new stuff and concentrate on the 2 upcoming birthdays. First I'm sharing the card I created for my sister Suzan. Today is her birthday! WOW... how did I let more than a week pass by with no posts?!  It's been busy.  I haven't had much time to create.  The last two weeks has been full of driving back and forth from Kentucky trying to get my Mother In Law moved.   This past Sunday we were finally able to get her down to her new home in Tennessee.  It has been a VERY long process and we still have much to deal with back in Kentucky but at least she is here and now we can focus on getting her house and contents sold.   This has been a new phase in our lives and I sympathize with anyone who has had to go through this. Here is a bit of good news in my creative world though!!  Tomorrow I'm leaving for Virginia for my Annual CTMH Spa Girls Reunion!!   After the last couple of weeks this will be a much needed break! Woo Hoo!!!  Spring has come!  Wow.... what a beautiful weekend we had!  The weather was awesome.  I did manage to squeeze in some crafting time in between spending time outside and watching basketball (HUGE UK fan here).  I had plenty of things on my "To Do" list that I needed to complete before the weekend was over.  One of my task was to create the layouts with the Brushed WOTG kit for my clubs.  This paper is just absolutely gorgeous!!  Maybe it is because I'm tired of grey skies and rainy days.  The colors in this paper makes me happy.  After finishing my layouts (I'll share those soon), I had plenty of compliments and paper scraps left to create this happy card. The Brushed compliments are vellum.  Aren't they pretty?  I used the green journaling piece of vellum to stamp the word "happy" which is from the exclusive Brushed WOTG Stamp set.  I used Staz-on ink so that it would dry quickly and not smear. I'm hoping to get back up to blogging speed.  I've been so busy lately creating things for my open house and I haven't had a chance to share them all.  I'm getting ready to leave for a much needed vacation this weekend.  I'm determined not to take any 'work' with me although it's tempting!   I've been pretty much spending all my spare time in my craft room lately so I think next week should be family time without inky fingers, scissors and adhesive in my hands! I sneaked in a quick card late last night before I headed off to bed.  I still needed to create about 4 more cards to show off Close To My Heart's new paper packs for my displays so I chose to kill two birds with one stone.   Create something for Mojo Monday and use the new Brushed Paper !
