You Are My Happy - Birthday Card

Image
Here is another You Are My Happy card to share!  This time I used the gift stamp.  This image is on the Art Philosophy cartridge so I was able to cut it out and then stamp it!  I actually cut and stamped it twice. Once in Sunset and once in Slate ink.  Then I cut out the slate ribbon and adhered it to my Sunset package! The little flowers are also on the Art Philosophy cartridge as well.   The Slate pattern paper is from the Babycakes paper pack Recipe: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Colonial White Card Make It From Your Heart Vol. 2 (9042) Babycakes Paper (X7173B) Slate Bakers Twine - Baker's Twine Neutral Assortment (Z1701) Slate Mini Medley Accents - (Z1787) Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (Z1686) Don't forget this National Stamping Month special is going on during the month of September Purchase $50 in Close to My Heart products and you get this exclusive  set of THREE D-size stamps for just $10! Using Stickease for Cards

Image
Edited to Add the first card to the Moxie Fab's Stickers and Tape Challenge! With each new Close To My Heart paper pack there is always a coordinating Stickease or Compliments.  These help to create very fast and easy layouts with no stamping that are just as beautiful as the Level 3 layouts (layouts that include stamping). Huntington Stickease X7174C I love our stickease and compliments and many times I will use them for things other than layouts! They are great for creating beautiful cards in snap! I've been working with the Huntington (X7174B) paper pack this weekend getting my layouts ready for my monthly Hostess Clubs.  I always thought that the coordinating stickease for Huntington would make some beautiful cards.   So, when I finished my layouts I created a couple of cards! I used the little flower and Buttercup ink to create a background on the Buttercup Cardstock.   I inked the sun in Buttercup ink and rolled the edges in Sunset and stamped it directly onto the Accent piece.  Next I stamped the sun in Sunset ink ont...

September Girl's Night Out - Christmas Burlap Gift Bags!

Image
Back in July I started a new monthly series of Girl's Night Out Projects.  It's a great opportunity to grab some friends and come create something fun!  My projects are simple, easy projects that can be completed in 2 hours or less! Is it too early to get ready for Christmas?  Not when you are creating your gifts!  Usually I wait until almost the 9th hour and realize I want to give something specially handcrafted to someone.  I'm so overwhelmed with the baking, buying, gift wrapping and everything else during December that I don't get a chance to do the things I REALLY want to do!  If you are like me, then you will want to sign up for September's Girl's Night Out project! This month, on Friday, September 20th we will be creating these fun Christmas Burlap Gift bags! The bags measure 5 3/4" x 4.  The perfect size for gifting homemade candy treats, little bottles of lotions and/or body wash or even jewelry!  I can think of lots of small goodies...

Poster Tidings - September Stamp of the Month

Image
Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Poster Tidings , a set of 2 large stamps. If you have come here from Lalia's Blog  you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE . We have over 50 consultants participating in the hop. Following the hop is easy, just click on the link at the end of the post and it will hop you right over to the next blog! My project I'm sharing actually started out as a card. I was going to use a sketch from the Make It From Your Heart book and adjust the sizing to create a 5x7 card instead of 4 1/4 x 5 3/4. Something happened along the way. An idea hit me just as I was stamping the individual words. (I love it when this happens - it gets me excited about what I'm creating!) As I was stamping the words I was thinking "This would be ...
