Poster Tidings - September Stamp of the Month

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month we are featuring Poster Tidings, a set of 2 large stamps. If you have come here from Lalia's Blog you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultant's HERE.

We have over 50 consultants participating in the hop. Following the hop is easy, just click on the link at the end of the post and it will hop you right over to the next blog!

My project I'm sharing actually started out as a card. I was going to use a sketch from the Make It From Your Heart book and adjust the sizing to create a 5x7 card instead of 4 1/4 x 5 3/4. Something happened along the way. An idea hit me just as I was stamping the individual words. (I love it when this happens - it gets me excited about what I'm creating!) As I was stamping the words I was thinking "This would be great on canvas!". So I stopped, put away my water based inks and got out my pigments inks. Because you know.... when you create any home decor you should use pigment inks! This is because the light will eventually fade your images stamped in water based inks when they sit out - just in case you didn't know!

I pulled out my Huntington paper pack (X7174B) - the perfect choice for anything fall and created this 6x6 My Creations Canvas (Z1818) to create a lovely fall home decor to display for the Thanksgiving Holiday!

I stamped the autumn themed image once on the Desert Sand cardstock with Cocoa Pigment Ink and then stamped the four larger words individually with Olive, Barn Red and Autumn Terracotta pigment ink. I cut each word out. I adhered them to the large 'poster' with foam tape to make them stand out. Next I added banners with additional Huntington paper and burlap ribbon. Spool tops from the Huntington Assortment (Z1881) make great accents with a piece of Hemp Baker's Twine from the Mini Medley Accents Wooden Collection (Z1837). I also added two pearl badge buttons from the Mini Medley Accents Rosewood Collection (Z1857).

My final touch was to add Jute Ribbon (Z1867) around the outer edge to give my canvas a finished look.

Of course I had to add just one more project to this Stamp of the Month Blog Hop so I created this fall card-
