World Cardmaking Day

Today is World Cardmaking Day and what better way to spend it than yummy eats, a little music, and friends!!  Pretty much at the last minute (on Monday actually) I decided that I wanted to get together with friends and celebrate World Cardmaking Day!  I'm so grateful to have so many friends that said YES!

So we got together and had a lot of fun.  We did take a little time out to have fun little contest.  I follow a blog called Pretty Pink Posh and every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month they have a 10 Minute Craft Dash so I thought it would be fun to have my own 10 Minute Craft Dash today!  We cheated a little bit and I gave everyone 5-10 minutes to choose the paper they wanted to use.  I brought a basket of old retired paper packs and said "have at it.  Use whatever you can find!"  So once everyone was ready with their choice of paper it was "GO - 10 minutes counting down!"
Winner Sue Nundahl added her last final touch just as the timer went off when several ladies not far behind!

We had some great cards created in just 10 minutes.  I told them - "See! You can all create a last minute card that is quick, easy and beautiful!".

Here is our collection of the 10 Minute Craft Dash Cards!

Thanks you to all the ladies that came to play today at the last minute!  Next year I plan to schedule AHEAD of time and make a whole day event!
