This set was immediately one of my favorites when I first got my Autumn Winter Idea Book. I've been so busy that I never had a chance to work with it until now. I just love all the different lanterns. I created three different cards using the Laughing Lola (X7170B) paper pack.
For this card I wanted to give the impression that the lights were hanging from a wire so I tied little knots where each lamp is hanging in some Black hemp and adhered them with liquid glass to hold in place. I also added liquid glass to each bulb to give it a shiny effect. Here is a close up:
For my next card, I stamped the lanterns with Black Pigment ink on the Laughing Lola Purple cardstock. I stamped them again onto White Daisy cardstock. I used Honey Alcohol markers to color the lights using the lighter shade for the very center for a soft glow. Then I cut out just the light portion of the lantern and adhered them with glue dots on top of the stamped images on the Laughing Lola Purple Cardstock. Again, I used Black Hemp to 'hang' my lanterns.

This last card was actually the first card I created with the set. It was something that I had in mind all along and I found the perfect sketch for my idea in the How To Book - Originals. The sketch is called Center Sash.
