No Longer a Teenager

Yesterday my youngest daughter turned 20!  The other night my husband noted that very soon we would no longer have a teenager in the house.  Boy, that felt weird..... after all these years.  Makes me feel just a wee bit old.   But, really I'm enjoying the age both my daughters have become.  Both beautiful young ladies that I really love spending time with.

For my daughter's birthday card I chose to use the special Hostess Only Stamp "Better With a Friend". This is so Kayli.  She loves dogs and actually I think she wanted one for her birthday but we already have a dog in the house that thinks he is human.   We sure don't need another one!

When I started the card, I couldn't decide what colors to use so I went to check out the challenge blogs to see if there was something that would help me out.  I chose the color challenge from the Just Us Girls Challenge blog - Turquoise, Red and Gold.   I used cardstock from our Paper Fundamentals collection fro the background and our new Alcohol markers to color the girl and puppy.  I cut a frame from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge in our Gold Glitter Paper.

Can you guess which stamp I used?  If not, that is because it is a NEW stamp from our new Seasonal Expressions book that will go live December.  The stamp is "You're the Bomb" and will ONLY be available from December 1 through March 31.  This stamp is extra special because when you purchase this stamp, Close to My Heart will donate $3 to Operation Smile.

Thanks for stopping by!
