It's been a BUSY week and I'm just now getting around to posting this Birthday Card I created using sketch from Retro Sketches.    I actually made the card on Monday night but I haven't had time to post and here we are one day away from the deadline. It was my Boss's birthday on Wednesday and when everyone around knows you love to make cards, they call upon you to create a card for the Boss!   That's ok - they know I love it and I'm really honored that I'm asked.  I guess if they didn't like what I create they wouldn't ask me.  :)  Plus, it's alot more fun to create when I'm doing it for a particular person!   I saw the sketch over at Retro Sketches on Saturday and knew it was one I wanted to try out. Here is another You Are My Happy card to share!  This time I used the gift stamp.  This image is on the Art Philosophy cartridge so I was able to cut it out and then stamp it!  I actually cut and stamped it twice. Once in Sunset and once in Slate ink.  Then I cut out the slate ribbon and adhered it to my Sunset package! Here is another card I created with A Chocolate Affair (August Stamp of the Month) with the Babycakes Paper (X7173B) . I used Close To My Heart's new Scallop Border Punch (Z1851) to create my border.  To create my multi-color cupcake I used the masking technique. I used Creme Brulee, Chocolate and White Daisy Pigment Ink to stamp my cupcake.  I added Mocha Opaque Adhesive (Z1333)  gems to the topping. A Chocolate Affair is only available until August 31st! I have another card to share that I created with this set.   Again I used the Babycakes Paper (X7173B) .  This stripe just makes me think "Ice Cream Parlor".   So I thought it was a great background for the Sundae in this set. To create my yummy sundae, First I created my dish.  I used 2nd generation stamping Slate Ink and then rolled the edge to get a darker color.  Kind of makes the glass 'shine'.   I added Liquid Applique (Z308)  where the Ice Cream would be.   I stamped the chocolate topping and cut it out and placed on top of the ice cream adding a 'cherry' red sparkle to the top.  The shimmer on the topping is Stardus...
