Hello Life - Rediscover CTMH

One of my favorite things to do at the beginning of each month is seeing what the new Rediscover download provided by Close To My Heart each month will be.   It's FREE and it's always fun!  This month's free download is called Rediscover Beauty and has four fun cards that you can get creative with!  The actual size of these cards are about 3" x 3 1/2".   These are great for cards, add to your layout or use along with your Picture My Life projects!  


You can print out your own cards by selecting the "Rediscover Download" in the upper left corner of this blog.  It will take you right to my website where you can download! 

The moment I saw these cards I knew immediately that they would be a great compliment to this month's National Scrapbooking Month special - Free To Be Me paper pack! The colors are a perfect match! So far I've created two cards. I'll share one here and the other one a little later so you will need to come back to my blog to see the other one!


For this 7 x 5card, I used Sketch #133 from Retro Sketches for this card.  The cardstock in the Free To Be Me paper pack has a resist design.  I love the added texture it gives to the card!  I used one of the arrows from the White Marquee Enamel Shapes (Z1961) and also Antiqued Gold Triangle Studs from the Durables Triangle Studs (Z1928) for accents on my card.

Now, I want to share with a cute way to make a gift card holder!  I used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge to make this holder.  It was very simple!  The Cricut cuts the card and it folds so that you can slip a gift card inside! I set the cricut to cut at 5".  I recycled an old gift card so my card is a little thick. This size worked well.   If inserting a regular card you can use 4 3/4" measurement.  "Merry Christmas" is also cut using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I set the measurement to 2".               To re
